Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics
The cowl is pretty soft/rubbery, so I don't think chips are going to happen so easily.
I've once dropped a figure from the top detolf shelf... freaked the hell out... and even though nothing was damaged, the memory of it dropping kept bothering me and made me think it WAS damaged. Crazy.
Oh yeah, I was like, "IT'S CONTAMINATED NOW", "RUINED" and I was looking for damage that wasn't even there.
There was a miniscule mark on the back of the head, about the size of a hair and I was like, "UP, MUST HAVE BEEN FROM THE FALL".
I sucked it up, put the head back on and put it back on the shelf. Hopefully I'll forget about it, come back to it maybe next year and not even remember it fell. I'm probably way more careful with these things than I should be so I shouldn't let something as dumb as this bother me. Atleast it's in a better pose and I adjusted the cape to where I wanted it now.
Did you use any bright lights to inspect?
Because I only noticed mine was cracking when I took it out of the shelf to move around the display. Hell, Who knows how long they have been cracking, as its not that noticeable if you are not looking at it with lights and close up.
Yeah, I looked really thoroughly in a heavily lit room, both suits are fine (they're both the DCD batch hard abs version). I don't see any marks or cracking. The integrity of the suit looks and feels fine, so far so good.
The coating on the cowl of BB ex is certainly more fragile compared to the OC ver if I'm not mistaken. Funny thing is the ankle on my original OC is firm while the newer BB ex is kinda loose. I'm afraid/can't be bothered with inspecting it, as that means I have 1 more thing to worry about. At least right now it looks fine and can stand up pretty well with the stand assisting it.
As soon as I dropped it I figured something would have happened. It hit a few things and rolled on the floor on the way down. I expected a chipped nose, or a paint chip on the face or something. Thankfully that wasn't the case.
As far as the boots go, I think my OC MMS 67 always had a damaged ankle before the problem was so known with the TF ex. Begins. The day I got it in 2008 the ankle felt weird. It didn't fall off but the foot wouldn't hold poses like the other one. That was straight out of the box.
