Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

Could have happened when you took the pants leggings off?

No, actually after seeing that it has cracked, I swap it with my good ones, and sold it off on eBa.

That's the thing that baffles me, I never pose it in any extreme poses and avoid touching if possible. Yet it cracked for some reason, I'm sure e rest of the dx 02 will have this problem as well, just like what happened to the rubber shirt on the comedian HT.

I looked over both of mine again and thankfully they're still fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. No oily abs, biceps or cracking ares in the knees or crotch. Oddly enough, the suit looks just as new and as nice as the day I bought it. Can't say the same for the TF Begins Batman which collects every particle of crap in the air.

Even checked to see if the ankle sockets in the boots cracked but both DX 02s pairs moved fine.

I did mess around with the Toy Fair Begins Batman, went to adjust his cape, popped the head off, and the cowl slipped out of my hands and fell onto the floor and rolled underneath my shelves. I OCDed pretty hard, even after checking and not seeing any damage. I'm lucky it didn't fall on it's nose or get scuffed up or anything.

The cowl is pretty soft/rubbery, so I don't think chips are going to happen so easily.

I've once dropped a figure from the top detolf shelf... freaked the hell out... and even though nothing was damaged, the memory of it dropping kept bothering me and made me think it WAS damaged. Crazy.

Did you use any bright lights to inspect?

Because I only noticed mine was cracking when I took it out of the shelf to move around the display. Hell, Who knows how long they have been cracking, as its not that noticeable if you are not looking at it with lights and close up.

The coating on the cowl of BB ex is certainly more fragile compared to the OC ver if I'm not mistaken. Funny thing is the ankle on my original OC is firm while the newer BB ex is kinda loose. I'm afraid/can't be bothered with inspecting it, as that means I have 1 more thing to worry about. At least right now it looks fine and can stand up pretty well with the stand assisting it.

Oh yeah, I was like, "IT'S CONTAMINATED NOW", "RUINED" and I was looking for damage that wasn't even there.

There was a miniscule mark on the back of the head, about the size of a hair and I was like, "UP, MUST HAVE BEEN FROM THE FALL".

I sucked it up, put the head back on and put it back on the shelf. Hopefully I'll forget about it, come back to it maybe next year and not even remember it fell. I'm probably way more careful with these things than I should be so I shouldn't let something as dumb as this bother me. Atleast it's in a better pose and I adjusted the cape to where I wanted it now. :lol

Yeah, I looked really thoroughly in a heavily lit room, both suits are fine (they're both the DCD batch hard abs version). I don't see any marks or cracking. The integrity of the suit looks and feels fine, so far so good.

As soon as I dropped it I figured something would have happened. It hit a few things and rolled on the floor on the way down. I expected a chipped nose, or a paint chip on the face or something. Thankfully that wasn't the case.

As far as the boots go, I think my OC MMS 67 always had a damaged ankle before the problem was so known with the TF ex. Begins. The day I got it in 2008 the ankle felt weird. It didn't fall off but the foot wouldn't hold poses like the other one. That was straight out of the box.

The edges were blurred a little. That was before I got my current camera.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

I saw some material that was perfect for a cape, drappy, solid black dense material, slight sheen ... too bad it was part of a bridesmaids dress LOL

Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

Have anyone tried to mod the sonar neck to make it shorter?

Any pictures or tutorial on this? Thanks!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

monkeyrobotmaster did it I think, but I haven't seen him around lately...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

it's like any of the neck shortening mod ... crack the neck open along the seam with a knife or pliers, remove the rubber socket and assemble back together and you are done.. I dont even bother using glue
If you are still not confident just practice on any of the TT necks that you may have spare

Re: Hot Toys - MMS DX 02 - TDK- BATMAN full spec and pics

I think MRM's mod was more extreme. Shorter than the method you're talking about. Could be wrong though...
