not sure if this method would fit your requirements ,but if you cut the belt at the back half way point then measure how much extra you need to put in ,you could glue a piece of something to bridge the gap and extend the belt ,i use elastic or something stretchy ,as it has a little more give and can be moved around easily ,the join and the extra is at the back and will be mainly hidden by the cape ,then slide it through the belt loops and glue the buckle shut ,i hope this works for you
cheers chris

thought about that. I would buy some yellow pleather and do just what you suggested. I also have a thought to buy the yellow pleather and just use that as the belt. there is of course the matter of the belt buckle ... .

Anyone know of a substitute for Superman's belt? I want to use KP03's body in lieu of my broken HT figure but his waist is too wide. Any help is appreciated.

If you can find a supplier, pick up a sheet of 1mm PVC sheet. Preferably in yellow for the belt. You can then chop yourself out a new belt. For the buckle, cut out an oval larger than the width of the belt.

Hey Guys, need a little help...

Got my replacement Reeve Exclusive, no snags, looks good EXCEPT, you can see vertical thigh mold lines protrude through the costume -- much too noticeable. I'm thinking about sanding them out but I'm not sure how to remove the outfit. I've seen a more than a few of these that have the same issue.

Anyone have a tutorial/advice on how to remove the outfit without damaging it?

Take off the head and put it somewhere safe. Do the same with the boots and the hands. The belt must be carefully peeled apart at the buckle(Which is glued to the other side of the belt). Then carefully pop off the poppers under the cape and at the shoulders and gently put the cape over the neck to the front of the body to get access to the zipper.
With the zipper open you can gently take off the suit from the upper half of the body and then pull it off the lower half. If you want, you can remove the underpants first. But they can stay on during the procedure.
Then you will have a naked Superman body ready to sand. To put it back on, reverse the steps.

Thanks bro. Will do. I may just pull his pants to the knees or just below the knees as the the thighs are the only affected area, hopefully won't have to remove the boots, etc.

You don't want to risk the sanded material contaminating the suit. The boots are just PVC with pegs. There are no feet in there, and they pop on and off easily enough.

He just came out of surgery and I can report it was a HUGE success! I taped off the area below the knees to prevent any shavings from getting in the suit and then sanded the thigh mold lines first with rough then light paper, cleaned off the shavings, resanded up and down and sideways until it looked and felt smooth. I eventually DID remove the boots as the suit was bunching up when I tried to pull it back up. Putting it back on was difficult, especially the trunks and pulling the cape back over his neck as you have to tug a bit here, and there, but I went slowly and used latex gloves throughout as not to create snags in the suit.

Thanks so much Username -- your advice was extremely helpful. He looks great now. Hope it helps anyone else who needs this minor mod done. :wink1:

This figure in 5 more years will become a grail...
Hot toys won't release another one...

I don't think they will either. These took a LONG TIME to sell through and the aftermarket hasn't really changed in 4 years ( you can still pick up a new regular for around 225-240). PLUS they wanted to do a DX but it didn't work out for this figure although I'm sure they COULD and may eventually do a DX Kent 2 Pack but I'd say it is unlikely, retro DC stuff isn't really their focus now. We'll see...
