So has anyone here attempted to create a better decal or sticker for the S shield? Mine happens to be stretched out a bit too much horizontally compared to what it should be (which I've also noticed on many other people's figures here), and I'm not crazy about the black outlines within it either.

And don't even get me started on the tiny, absolutely awful shield on the back of the cape. :lol

I'd love to create some kind of replacement for both, but I'm not really sure how to go about it...

cking had a thread a while back. The picture links are dead but I remember liking it at the time.

You can make an iron-on. I just don't know how you get the old ones off. :)

cking made it sound like you just get a little peel started at one edge and it will pull off. He describes it in the thread I linked.

I'd spray the suit from the inside with brake cleaner degreasant several times. That would denature the adhesive and allow the "old" S to be removed.

I would be more than a little worried about stains or discoloration. Also there's really no telling how colorfast any of these fabrics are.

Thanks for the link! Shame the pics are all dead cause it sounds like he was probably on the right track with whatever he was doing.

As for peeling off the current shield I think just heating it up with a hair dryer first to soften the glue would probably be enough. But of course I don't want to try that until I have something good to replace it with.

this may solve your problem with the emblem ,printable vinyl ,its super thin and if warmed up first will mould to the contours of the chest and sticks like ***** to a blanket ,sorry the pics upside down lol ,my nephew got his on ebay but the web sites in the pics so maybe you could get it direct ,this was just a test fit to show how thin the vinyl is ,carefully fitted and pre heated you could get the creases out if required ,hope this helps cheers

You did a fantastic job modding those NECA 1/4 figures. Superman looks a tiny bit more like his evil Superman III counterpart, but you definitely brought out the likeness, and that West Batman is absolutely awesome.

yeah i get what you guys are saying about the evil superman thing ,but i think it has more to do with the eye ball position than the sculpt , i think reeve described playing the evil version as "the ultimate migraine " i cant paint for **** ,and have no idea about photo manipulations ,but i reckon if the eye balls weren't rolling up into his head look was replaced with a more natural placement ,he wouldn't look so stern and evil just more "determined " lol ,id love to see it if someone could take a crack at it

^Nice work, Libby!! I was wondering how the NECA 1/4 Reeves would look with a spandex suit. Yours looks PERFECT! Makes me want to try and make a suit for him like we did for the '66 West Batman. It should be pretty similar I guess. Biggest difference would be the collar, which could make it a little more challenging... Wish I could buy the same suit you used, but that figure goes for crazy $ on eBay... Awesome job on the "S" too, btw!

Thanks for the comments!!!

Finally bought the MOS base and it looks fine with him. Now have more flying/landing/in the air posing options.

I hope we never fall apart
