If it's a knock off figure, is it a complete knock off or the real figure with the knock off head we saw before?

I'm confused myself.

It's not a knock-off, they just made some changes to it before going to production.

Changes that omits detail, and make the shape of the mask inaccurate when they had it right before? The overall quality of the mold looks like a bad casting knock-off with its bumpy edges and uneven detail.

HT gone crazy!!

If this is a result of "listening to fans", I want no part of it.

Giving it a worth shape, color chimps and low quality surface?
Doesn't look like Hot Toys quality to me.

It doesn't? because this is what happens to most of their figures...

?? Explain. They never had issues with actual molds... they don't come out looking like knock-offs. I mean look at the detail of DX12's grapnel gun, Nick Fury's briefcase, all of their swords they've ever done. They all come out pristine. Not completely different from the proto. It's a simple cast job, and they do it well.

They shouldn't have listened to fans this time. By making the mask removable, I feel they compromised the entire thing. The look and the structure.

The only thing they should have fixed was the color and skin texture disparities between the and the neck.

That's exactly what confuses me, too and makes me think of a knock off.

They shouldn't have listened to fans this time. By making the mask removable, I feel they compromised the entire thing. The look and the structure.

If it's really a result of a changed removable mask I'm with you. Think I wouldn't ever have displayed her without the mask anyhow.

The mask doesn't look that different to me really. I tend to not be very nitpicky though so maybe it's me.

You guys actually think they "listen" to the fans? Really? You think they're going to show pics and put it up for pre order for a certain price, then put more money and work into it to do what fans want and keep the same price?

You can tell just by looking at the comparison above.

Look at the surface, the one is smooth one has weird defects. Look at the nose, there is no line detailing. The eyes and overall shape is straight and not narrow, covering her eyes up. The edges are mush, detail is muddled. It just doesn't look crisp.

Yeah, so?.. maybe you just dislike it but try to think about it, this always happens, there is always someone that thinks the final product sucks and the prototype is better, ALWAYS. It looks like you have been here for a while, even longer than me I think you already know this, this is just another female figure by HT

If you think this looks bad take a look at Alice.. or the DX12 (wich I love) but some people think its eyes are bigger than its head. They don't have problems making things, weapons, clothes but when it comes to a headsculpt, people will have mixed opinions

Maybe there is no real way to know that, but they have to sell, and if they change something and it doesn't make much sense well... that will make people think

If not, they certainly have made MANY changes in the past for the better. They certainly take feedback from something, like any good company would.

If you think this looks bad take a look at Alice.. or the DX12 (wich I love) but some people think its eyes are bigger than its head. They don't have problems making things, weapons, clothes but when it comes to a headsculpt, people will have mixed opinions

I know sculpts can look different due to paint and lighting.

But, we're not talking about headsculpt. We're talking about the mask, which would have to have been produced the same way any accessory is.

DX12 is my favorite figure, and I don't see any problems that differ drastically from prototype.

The only difference I really see is on the nose. I think the mask in the newer picture is pushed down a bit and may look better if adjusted.

Anyways, I'm not saying this isn't HT, I'm saying this is really off for the usual HT and I hope it's a knock-off because knock-offs usually look this bad.

We're not talking about headsculpt. We're talking about the mask, which would have to have been produced the same way any accessory is.

DX12 is my favorite figure, and I don't see any problems that differ drastically from prototype.

Me neither, the DX12 looks great.

Its just one figure, I doubt every sinlge Selina out there will have those scratches
