Can we all agree that regardless of whether it was even possible for Jor El to defeat Zod in hand to hand, that as a narrative decision it was incredibly stupid?

In a world where people fly, dress up like bat or are immortal amazon?

And maybe one should watch the deleted scenes where you can see a montage of jorel training for his big day fight with zod before complaining

Yes, I know what you meant.

Still no.

So you think its better for the first villain a character has to overcome in his first film to be easily bested by the main characters? despite his only threatening attributes as a character being his combat abilities? If so, we can agree to disagree and leave it there.

You explained why it bothered me better than I. When I first learned Shannon was Zod I was excited we were going to have a modern bad ass Zod that was going to be a mega threat until, of course, Superman wins then I see 10 minutes into the movie him get his butt kicked, physically, by Crowe I was meh afterwards. It killed my enthusiasm for the movie.

No. I don't think it takes away from the story at all and I also don't think Superman easily handled Zod. In fact, I actually think Superman should have handled Zod more easily than he did, for reasons mentioned earlier. However, I don't think that had adverse effects on the story at all either.

We don't have to agree to disagree on anything, there's really no argument. You're the one that has an issue with it, not me. :duff

So to get back to the thread topic of HT General Zod......For those who own this figure and have been wanting a neutral HS, Creg Customs now has them available to pre-order!

Thanks. Just checked it out Ill have to pass as it's unpainted and have no painting skills or connections to customizers. Too bad it looks good.

There are plenty of customizers in the customs thread. Many advertise when they are open for commissions and give examples of recent work.

Painters are easy enough to find, it just comes down to how much you like Zod. Are you willing to spend $80 for the sculpt then another $100 for a master paint job? I like him, but not that much.

The cost is the issue. When I said connections I was referring to people I knew personally(a friend) who could do it for me for free or at a deep discount. I don't want to pay $100+ for a paint job.

some painters on here only charge $50-$60 which I think is very reasonable.

here is mine just finished by galaticustoms along with a Count Dooku sculpt he did for me.

I've been going with galaticustoms. He does a great job IMHO and usually has a turnaround of about 2-3 weeks. Ofcourse I am in the same area as him so shipping takes like a day LOL.

I'd look in the customs section to see who is accepting commissions and what they charge as well as examples of their work to see what fits your taste.
