Its all a bit moot now but just read the first 10 or so pages of the thread.


And for the record I do believe you will get a figure at the end of this. But its not going to be what they have projected and its going to be a... long and winding road.

Their UK "office" could just be a company registration and a forwarding PO box. That actually isn't exactly uncommon in the business world...

Oh I am fully aware of Company law. It's what I do for a living.

They are a UK company as in, their registered office has to be there. They can have actual production offices/factories wherever they want. Hence my answer.

I'm kind tired of the whole negative comments....My advice would be order via a retailer if you are ordering.
I've ordered via a Uk retailer and paid a £40 deposit which I'm covered for.

I really hope they pull this off because we all want Wonka!

Did a bit of detective work on things in the background of that image. The bottled water with Chinese characters on the label is Evergrande Spring, a fairly new brand from Guangzhou. The symbol on the door for "pull" is also simplified Chinese as opposed to the traditional character still in use in Cantonese, so if I had to bet I'd say this is an office in mainland China.

Bet they have nowhere near the kickstart money to go into production- so they will keep stringing us along month after month...

Well, didn't they claim to have had nearly 1,000 pre-orders well over a month ago? Seems like $300K would be pretty sufficient startup capital!

The gap between what this company promised and what they will deliver is becoming sadly apparent. Those photos have an air of impending cluster****, what with the jacket being too large, the sculpts looking ropey and just the whole working environment looking messy and desperate. Is that the best they can show? It comes across as 'we're not scam artists, honest!' when what I see is people trying to pull something off when they're in way over their heads.

That's the office of the factory. Having worked with factories in China, that's pretty typical of the pictures they will send you, when you ask for updates.

More "product in development phase" pics. M8 doesn't even have completed proto samples (outfits, etc.) to bid out to factories. How can this NOT be at least 6 months to a year away based on HT promo-factory-release schedules?

Glow in the dark...that should add a month on to production.

But only the first 1,000 to pre-order get the exclusive, glow in the dark Lennon figure. So, it shouldn't slow things down too much.
