Re: MONDO - 1/6 Comic Style TMNT Figures Announced

$100 each would have been a better value. At $150 I'll have to think about it. $600 for all four is a lot for a set that I really don't need. I've got the Sideshow pieces and I'm completely satisfied with those.

Re: MONDO - 1/6 Comic Style TMNT Figures Announced

Damn. $150...that hurts a bit. No way I could reasonably justify $600 for the set, hell I'm sure Wave 2 will be higher priced. Look like just Leo for me. Although the Michelangelo arguments are quite apt :lol

I really hope Mondo offers a dickless version. (Can't unsee the tail ****):gah:

That's how they look in the comics, that's how the Play, ages statues look, and the Sideshow statues also have tails.

Look great, I loved Ninja Turtles growing up, had the Turtles NES game, $150 a figure though is out of my price range. :gah:

Price is no surprise - after all this is the company selling a 6 inch plastic bolt for $65. :lol

:rotfl So true. I love the look of these, and am still tempted to get just one, but I'll most likely be passing on Mondo's offerings altogether. It's just hard to justify the 'premium' pricing for what's essentially a large-scale action figure made of plastic.

Re: MONDO - 1/6 Comic Style TMNT Figures Announced

These do look cool but they're still not as detailed or accurate as the Neca 6" classic original comic look ninja turtles. I got all 4 of those for $50 at NYCC when they were released. It would be cool to get these too but a proper 1/6 scale figure shouldn't be just a plastic figure especially not at $150. All they needed to do was make mask, knee pads, elbow pads and leather shell accessory that holds weapons out of a vinyl/rubber material like Hot Toys uses and throw in metal weapons and these would've been epic and easily worth $150. But 4 pieces of 11" plastic for $600? Easy pass. Maybe I'd get Leo but that would be it. Would've been cool to have these four in with other 1/6 scale figures form HT & SS. A 1/6 Raph posed fighting with the eventual 1/6 SS comic Wolverine would've been awesome!!! (And no the new movie 1/6 turtles are a joke just like the movie!!! They were horrible looking designs and another let down!) Guess I'll just keep dreaming. :(

I checked out those NECA Turtles and they do look really cool. I'm only getting 1/6th figures though so I think they would look abit out of place in my collection.

I totally get that the lack of mixed media on these are bothering people. I'm still hoping they are less than $150.

TMNT Ultimate Collection volume 1 dropped into my mailbox today, will make it even harder to resist these!
