Did you make this head out of nothing or from something already existing? I remember you saying something about a DX cast.

Monkey how does ironman look from the back after the mod? ..at the front the cut rubber is just about hidden by the chestplate right?.. but at the back where the rubber spine meets the plastic of the upper back won't the cut you made be very clear?

No, you only cut the front the back is fine and doesn't need to be. Here's that picture you wanted.

Ya that looks nice and flush ..why does yours look so rough ..whats all that black from? ..at first it looked like you cut off some of the black plastic but i know thats not the case ..and where should i stop the cutting with the knife ..just after i turn around the sides?

The black is paint for extra weathering, and it looks rough because I did bother to smooth it out since it's cover and I never take the chest plate off. As for where to stop cutting, I stop at the seam where the front and back of the upper body meet. Oh, and I almost forgot you'll have to cut or use a dremil to remove some the lower part of the gray under-chest by the seam. Not a lot, just enough so it will be covered by the chest plate.

It's the little extra gray bit just behind the mechanical stuff circled in the picture. You'll do that on both sides.

Tnx for all the info dude ..now how do i go about taking the top half off to get in and pad out the waist?

There are four screws in his back covered by caps. You'll see them, they look like little circles. Pop the caps off and remove the screws, just remember to separate the chest slowly so you don't disconnect his chest LED.

that Joker head is looking incredible, can't wait to see the finished head! :goodpost:

Okay, first attempt not so great had some air bubble issues, but I've learned and the next will be stop on. Anyway, I've gone ahead made this into a rough prototype. This way you guys can have a better idea of the finished product.

Wow thats a really really good sculpt ..a little rough but like you said its just a prototype, how much would one of these cost if your making others?

That hair is spectacular. The best you've done yet. And nearly the best I've seen. :bow

Constructive criticism:

1) The nose is off. In the profile the nose should be a more or less straight line.

Yours has a large "hump."

2) The white makeup on the hair looks a bit to "liquidy" to me. Reminds me a bit of Something About Mary. :horror
