This Baraka, Syndel, Shao Kahn challenge is killing me.

That is by FAR the hardest challenge of the entire tower. Best thing to beat Kahn with (with any fighter) is a projectile attack. Kepe him as far away as possible. He can only spear and hammer you then. Block the spear and jump the hammer.

Agreed with BM here. 251 was by far the hardest challenge on the Tower. Do what BM said and just try to keep your distance and hope you get lucky. After you beat it, all the other challenges after including the last, will seem like child's play in comparison.

I skipped about 3.

Playing the Story Mode now and half way done.

Although PS3 games are region free they still have region codes on them to trace country of origin.

USA, Canada = R1
UK, Europe = R2
Asia = R3
AUS, NZ = R4

Look on the back of any PS3 game and the region number will be on
there.

So if you plan on buying from ebay like I did don't buy from an asian
seller.

What the Kombat Pass?

It is their way of encouraging people to buy new. If you buy it used then it is likely it won't be included with the game so you'd have to pay $10 to play online and it's their way of getting money out of people buying used copies of games.

It's new and I haven't redeem the kombat pass yet I've full access to all the online features. Weird...

Yeh.... Sony gave full access to online play as MK was released at
the time the network went down, hence some people were not able
to redeem their kombat pass. As soon as the PS stores are back
online you will have to redeem your code to continue playing online.
End of the month apparently..
