Yeah, those pretty much do suck :lol

But they are miles better than their previous figures! Oh why can't someone decent like NECA or HT get the MK license for figures? :(

Pop culture shock has the statue license that's all we need. :)
That Scorpion image is awesome, I'm sure I will pick up all of those.

After looking at the figures again, I think the biggest fault on Scorpion and Sub-Zero are their colors. Scorpion should be gold instead of yellow tanish. His eyes maybe could stand to be a bit smaller as well perhaps. The blue on Sub-Zero should be richer and a tad more vibrant. The blue on the proto looks a bit to greyish. The sculpts for these 2 look ok for the scale and I think a little repainting will really help these figures shine. Cage and Raiden though, are still pretty bad. Raiden's face sculpt reminds me of Hank Hill and his neck is too long, and Johnny Cage just looks uber dorky. Like I said though hopefully the final products look better and hopefully we get Shao Kahn in a future wave. Kitana, Mileena, Skarlet, Kintaro and Goro would be great too.

Indeed. I like the Jazwares Scorpion and Sub-Zero well enough and think they'll look good next to the Marvel Legends and DCUC figures, but I would like something more detailed. Mortal Kombat is a license right up NECA's alley. I'd love to see them make a Scorpion and Sub-Zero with the same articulation as their Ryu Hayabusa figure.

Doubtful. Worse if anything. Toy prototypes always look better than the final production figures.

Not allways. I've seen some protos of some GI Joes and a SW figures from Hasbro and the final figure looked a little better. But yeah I'm not holding my breath these will look better than the protos.

This is pretty cool news!

The PlayStation 3 version of Mortal Kombat is seeing the end of an irksome TECHNICALITY: the "Kombat Pass," a token that is required for online play but cannot be redeemed while the PlayStation Store is offline, is being temporarily waived. Up until now, the pool of online combatants was limited to those who hastily activated their passes right before the PSN fell into a coma in late April.

Writing on Mortal Kombat's official Facebook page, NetherRealm Studios confirmed that the game's online component should now be unlocked for all players, though it'll be cordoned off as soon as Sony re-opens the PlayStation Store (possibly by next week). The Kombat Pass code is included with all new copies of Mortal Kombat, and can be purchased separately for $9.99 once a free trial period expires.

If you own a used copy of NetherRealm's well-received revamp, you now have an entire weekend to gauge the value of pulverizing pelvises over the internet.

New gameplay balance tweeks from this weekend announced:

Some non-specific changes include damage reduction on a few special moves and some adjustment to juggle combo damage scaling. Certain basic combos also saw their damage reduced as they were "doing too much damage without using any meter."

Reduced some of Kung Lao's combo and overall damage.

Reduced the damage on some special moves.

Increased the damage scaling after Kitana's Enhanced ground fan toss.

Adjusted some juggle's damage scaling.

Reduced the damage on some basic combos that were doing too much damage without using any meter.

Increased Sheeva's damage output for several of her moves and attacks.

Temporarily Changed around some of Sonya's fighting style properties to reduce her ability to lock someone down in block stun.

Changed Kano's Towards Front Kick to a low block.

Reduced the recovery on Kano's Upball to be closer to Johnny Cage's Flip Kick recovery.

Increased the damage of some of Baraka's special moves and attacks.

It is easier to juggle combo after hitting someone with Baraka's chopchop on the ground.

Increased the damage scaling on a frozen opponent.

Baraka's Away Front Kick, Front Punch combo is now a true popup.
