Agreed. Aside from Scorpion and Sub-zero, the ninjas have really strayed far from their original looks. Ermac isn't even reconginzable as Ermac. The classic costume looks like a whole different character. Same with Reptile really. And frankly, I hate his mask in this game. It looks like a beak so he looks very bird like instead of reptilian.

I like Ermac's alternate and I think Noob looks really badass too but I do think Ermac's primary costume really strayed a bit too far from his original look. I mean he looks like a mummy. Reptile hasn't had a good design since UMK3. His outfit in Armageddon was passable but ugh.. just make him human again allready. I agree his mask looks like a beak. There was a really cool human concept for Reptile in the art book that came with the Kollectors Edition that would have been a great alternate costume.

I quite like Ermacs costume.

Reptiles Shaolin Monks costume i quite liked (Bar the mouth) but other than that ive not liked it since he was passable as a human.

Current N00b is ok but he looks a bit like hes in bondage gear. I loved Smokes current costume but hate the hair.

I hate most of their faces though. Kitana without the veil on looks like Michael Jackson and Sonya has a more square jaw than Arnie. Hell Sheeva is the most feminine looking female character in the game face wise.

I really wish they would have given Reptile a human (non classic) alternate costume. I hate Reptile's lizard designs.

I think Jade looks best, she'd be the hottest.

True, Ermac looks like some kinda bandaged up ninja and his Alt Costume makes him look like an evil sorcerer.

why is it more accurate? I haven't played any of the games on a Joy Stick yet, but I would have thought it would be funner that way?

I think he means the joystick on the controller. Not an arcade joystick.

From memory when playing the older Mortal Kombat's in the past, they were ok.

It has been quite a while since I have played an arcade game as all the games I wanted to play were on console.

Again, I am just use to the D-Pad and prefer it over the Joy Stick.

I am sure they will be fine and you won't have any problems.

Guess you'll just have to try it out yourself and let us know how you go

I actually have to say that the joystick works with Street Fighter IV quite well.
It happened that I could do fireballs much quicker with the joystick and for the first time ever could do 360° moves, like Zangief´s.
