actually there is a rape movie that did disturb me and made me very sick,
and it was with the open corpse of a woman,

Aftermath by Nacho Cerda

a mortician starts to stab a dead woman's vajayjay repeatedly
then opens up the stomach and chest of a woman and starts
touching the organs,
he finally gets on top of it to do it...
very realistic, the bodies look real,

the blood.. the guts..... the rape...........

the whole thing is about 30 minutes, cannot even be named a movie,

and you wanna know how I watch it? someone posted it on Youtube.....
:sick:yuck:yuck ( I think it is still there...:sick)

I couldn't even post the trailer here.....

I forgot about this movie, while it was very well done and the complete lack of dialog was very interesting it was extremely hard to get through.

I recently watched Martyrs on YouTube. Lots of people go on and on about how disturbing it is. The version on YouTube is the edited version, so I'm not sure what level the original film gets to. I was able to watch the edited version in 10 minute increments without squirming, but the beatings toward the ending are pretty tough to watch. (Yes, it's a man beating a woman.)

One thing I'll say for Martyrs (again, I saw the edited version) is that it never felt gratuitous. The acting and directing are really top notch, and in a weird way I found it moving and uplifting.

Very tempted to get a hold of the unedited version.

THIS. I was going to say Martyrs too. My fiance and I just randomly picked this up at blockbuster several years ago because we like watching dumb horror flicks. Big mistake. We'll never watch it again. The ending is just...ugh.

Oh, and the film Martyrs. Worse than Old Boy.

Oh God, easily. Old Boy was at least a cool flick, almost an action film, though the ending was rough. Not really gory, but just wrong. Martyrs on the other hand leads you in one direction the entire time and then does a complete 360 into something else. Something much worse.

the scenes of her being skinned, except for her face and the way her eyes look that weird like, glow?...yeah screw that lol

seriously though, I can do horror and gore but that just messed with my head too much.

Martyrs is a brilliant film thematically under the guise of shock horror. It was tough to watch but I didn't find it disturbing because of this.

Yes, I completely agree. It really isn't shock horror, or torture porn. as you said, it is a brilliant film and it certainly makes you think! I just felt the whole process of what they were doing and the way they went about it as disturbing.

Incidentally, I recall rumblings of it being remade for 'American' audiences. Probably a bad idea.

I need to watch Martyrs. From what I'm told from my friend why loves horror movies and coincidentally collects figures but doesn't post here says it's a tough watch.

Yeah, it was almost "experimental" in how far they were willing to go.

I know what you mean. Martyrs almost doesn't function as a horror film. It starts like one and then goes so far off course it's like theater-of-the-absurd.

I heard those rumors as well. I would have no faith in a remake.

How do you guys even come across a lot of these bad movies? I think you have a bit of a point. When we see well known actors/actresses in disturbing scenes, it doesn't have the same effect as someone we've never seen before. For me, I think that applies to everything, but the rape scenes though.

Thank you :wave :1-1: :goodpost:
you get what I was saying, It is hard to see Edward Norton Mr. Fight Club Mr. HULK and get shocked by American History X, but the Megan movie is really bad,
and

I came across Megan is Missing because someone mention it on facebook, someone said that they were traumatized,

I'm with Napoleon. I've never seen the film, nor read the book, and I have no intention of ever doing so, but if it's as depraved as you all say it is, well, again, good for Napoleon. I'd feel more comfortable if some of the twisted minds that come up with this stuff were locked up. At least you'd know that their "fiction" wouldn't cross over into reality by their own hands. It's not "courageous", it's disgusting. :lecture

The Marquis de Sade spent plenty of time in the Bastille prior to the French Revolution and Napoleon's dictatorship. He was not a nice person. However, giving the written word equivalent legal status to criminal actions is as ugly as it is dumb.

Should the filmakers in this thread be jailed?

If there hadn't been subversive ideas in every culture, where would society be now?

If you can put a man in jail for writing about forcefeeding ____ to sex slaves, you can put a man in jail for saying taxation is evil or that there is no God.

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST?

Anyone watched it? I cant because i am scared, plus the Real Animal cruelty would make me puke

There are also many things that nobody raises an eyebrow for that would get you burnt or stoned to death in other times. Think about how the common folk of XVII century France would react to Batman, or what the Spanish Inquisition would think of people collecting statues of lizard men, big red demons with huge horns, etc.
The concept of 'depraved' changes with time, and there's a tendency towards the liberal. There's no stopping the moral zeitgeist. hhehehe

Judging by a lot of the things that I've read in this thread, I can't say I'd mind if quite a few of those individuals were locked up.

There was a series in the 90's called Traces of Death. It was styled after the Faces of Death movies, but set to a death metal soundtrack and and a lot more gruesome. It was all bootleg quality.

I don't know if they qualified as snuff films. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

It's gross, but not as bad as people let me to believe. Maybe because I was prepared for it I guess. Although the large turtle scene was really disgusting.

Im pretty sure the animal torture is gross, and there are some pictures about it,

but how is the human torture? is it really bad?
