Spoke to Kate Wednesday last week about my order with them and was given the same crap about being behind with getting items out but assured me I would get it within a week plus a 100 loyalty points for the delay. She knew then that this was coming and still told me a pack of lies. Just seeing the money people have lost along with my own on the various Facebook forums they have had £1000's from us all. Criminal.

Jesus sorry I to hear that guys, sounds like they have strung everyone along, I'm so glad I got hold of them when I did, if they've been taking money while knowing they were going bump it's scandalous, I hope they get what they deserve and you can get your money back.

This has got to be one of the dirtiest ways to go as you say they knew it was going to happen - turning into Limited company so their personal assets didn't come into it, bet they made sure to stash a lot of the money from the company as well and then blame it all on low profits..

Sick people for sure.

Yep looks like this was a planned thing. They must have had financial problems but rather than close business they choose to recoup their losses from our community. They continued to take preorders ( did someone order something in stock and get delayed too ? ) to collect as much cash as possible before officially announcing closure.
Cozzie,
You mentioned above that they changed legal form into an LLC ? If that's correct than this is a well thought out plan . They are using the system to their advantage.

yes ive been told they went limited on the 10th of January this year (2014)

Address is:

Unit 3 Kenworthy Road,
Stafford
ST16 3DY

I took screen shots of their website and my orders luckily before they closed the website down.

The owner is Kathryn Valler and possibly Liam Sheasby as well.

FFS so we had good reason all along to ****** and moan about them in this thread. So glad I cancelled the batmobile with them.

Makes you sick that they posted that BS rant on facebook about how healthy their profits were.

Unbelievable, and although i defended them in the past, it does seem as though they were aware of this potentially happening and if that truly is the case then that really is terrible

thankfully I only have about £100 on pre-order with them, £20 of which was paid on 15th Jan, so £80 loss, but some of the amounts I've read so far makes this situation horrible

Fingers crossed for everyone who has made a loss that there is some way to get your money back

Address etc won't make much difference now, everything there will come under the administrators of the insolvency

I posted their names too. They're a bunch of criminals and should be treated as ones. Sucks that I don't live in the UK or I'd pay them a visit and force them to give back my money they knowingly stole from me.

I know you did, their names are also freely available on the website I posted companycheck.co.uk

i just feel for that guy who said he had £1400 worth of preorders.. had he prepaid all of that as well?

And to think they had that 10% off everything sale a few weeks ago, they surely must have know that this would encourage more orders, orders that they would have known that they probably could not fulfil?

Crikey

I contacted my bank again and they told me to write an e-mail to their credit card department about all of this, to include paypal and bank transactions ID's etc, info about the store going bankrupt and that I tried to contact them. Done. Now just waiting for my luck to turn. This **** couldn't happen at a worse time when my teeth are suddenly starting to fall apart and I have dental bills that are going to cost me more than what MB stole from me. And I'm having the worst toothache right now so you can imagine how pissed off I am right now with everything. :slap

Yes I did. They owe me a total of £1373,65....................................

about 20 mins ago I put a post on a facebook group im in asking how much people had lost, ten people have replied so far and the total lost is £1844
with the largest amount by one person being £380
so far......

I'm going to give PayPal a call on my lunch

I know there are a lot of expected outcomes to what that convesation will be, but it can't hurt to ask I suppose and it won't cost anything (works phone, yeah!)

@Dracula , Ring your card company dont email, you should be covered by your credit card, there will be an online form they can send you and this should be resolved if it was on a credit card very quick
