Their website is still up?

Yeah, but all their adverts have disappeared from the web. You can bet you're bottom dollar that tomorrow, or in a few days at least, there will be an administration notice instead of their website. I hope to Christ I can get my bank to honour S75, fricking Paypal! I really can't afford lose £400.00. Drac, if you paid them direct with your credit card you should be OK.

I paid via paypal.. which takes money from my visa credit card... I hope I'm not ****ed.

Doesn't look good Dracula, I'm sorry to say.

"When you buy through third parties. Travel agents, PayPal, group buying sites, etc.

You're unlikely to be covered when payments are made to a company that isn't the one providing you with the product or service. In these cases, the credit card company usually says it didn't have a direct relationship with the supplier, so isn't equally liable."

After 28 days PayPal lose interest.
Good luck.

Edit; Sorry 45 days...
'Buyers must raise a dispute within 45 days of a single PayPal payment for the full price of the item. If no satisfactory response is received from the seller, a claim must be filed within 20 days of raising the dispute'.

Never pre-order via PayPal.

I hope so too mate. Clearly this was fraud though. They were invoicing customer's on paybreak for stock that they did not have in. And then stalling them afterwards. I'm just shocked they had the temerity to post that rant on Facebook earlier in the month.

But in this case the company invoiced us via it's Paypal account. I don't have a Paypal account. Surely a company knowingly billing customer's for products that are in most cases months away from being stock, should not be doing so? Also in 2006 S75 was ruled to be applicable in such cases.

I don't know mate, the credit card's transaction is still with PayPal, not the supplier direct. I'm not speaking from experience here, just what I read in that article, hopefully it'll be ok.

The case in 2006 clearly didn't set a precedent as it say's it's a tough task to get them to agree, despite the court of appeal ruling against them in that case.

Is that UK law? I'm in Sweden. I just called my bank and they weren't sure if paying via paypal would be an issue, however they are sending me the papers to fill in... gonna try to contact paypal and tell them this was obviously fraud.

Lesson learned.

Whoa ! Are they a brick and mortar outfit too or just online ? If they are a brick and mortar business maybe someone pay them a visit real quick and assess the situation ?

You can speak with your bank on a Sunday night?

I live in Sweden. My bank SEB has customer service 24/7.

No one's saying they've gone belly up just it's not looking good with the deletion of FB & Twitter accounts, Staff 'sick' on Friday, in 'Business Meetings' on Friday and the empty eBay account.

Yup.. a part of me still wants to believe this is due to the "trolls" and "morons" leaving negative comments. But Kate also removed her personal facebook page... sooo.......... unless she was being harassed???

They were well known for deleting any comments they didn't like.
Doesn't explain the eBay listings being removed either.

Hope you manage to recover your money if they do declare bankrupt.

Yeah, it looks really bad. And I don't think I'll ever see my money again. I have the worst luck ever...

They do have an address on the first page on their website.

Hmmmm yes read meetings as potentially meetings with the bank etc!! Well glad I started the chargeback process on Saturday. Might just keep ahead of the game. In the meantime just ordered the QS001 from Forbidden planet as ebay were not doing any better on price.
