If you recently ordered an iPhone better make sure it's being sent to the right address--some people are getting errors in the AT&T system where it (for some reason) puts someone else's address on their iPhone order.

I'm fairly sure it's people with existing accounts. Although they screwed up my order in my favor I might add, so I will be shipped two. Long story! Anyways, I verified the address and what they have is correct. :rock

I really do appreciate the input guys, when does the Droid X drop? Also Best Buy has the Eris for $29.99 w/2 yr. contract and the Incredible for $199.99 w/2yr. contract. Pfft.

I got to play with a Droid X today and it is *really* nice. The screen is HUGE, it's really not all that thick, the interface is nice, and I can get unlimited data.

Do any of you guys have any experience with Google Maps turn by turn? I have a TomTom right now, could I replace that with my phone?

I haven't used it yet on my Droid Incredible since I haven't really gone anywhere. It's pretty exact, and the Google maps are the most accurate since they mapped everything with those Google cars.

You bailing on iPhone now?

You bailing on iPhone now?

I think so. :monkey2

After all that, I think I'm gonna get the Droid X. I've had a good run with my iPhone, but I don't think the iPhone 4 offers much more that my jailbroken original iPhone can't do.

I'm a geek at heart, and a geek's gotta tinker and conquer new horizons. Holding the iPhone 4, I felt like it was a solid upgrade to my current iPhone. Holding the Droid X, I felt like it was the undiscovered country.

I'm still going to keep developing iPhone apps and keep up to date on iPhone happenings, and I'll be at WWDC next year, so it's not like I think the iPhone is a bad platform by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I'd say it's better all around. It's just not for me at this moment.

edit: Just to be clear, I've had hands-on experience with both the iPhone 4 and the Droid X.

Don't forget everyone that the droid 2 is still expected in November and will have twice the processing speed. So if you are going droid you may want to wait.

The Droid 2 will be the same as the OG but with a revamped keyboard. the X has no physical keyboard. from what I understand the next step up for the Droids will be next year when a 2GZ processor will be released.

I have the original Motorola Droid and its been such a great phone. The only two complaints that I have had is the physical keyboard and no dedicated keys for the home screen. I cant wait to get the X. If its better then the original, which it appears to be, it's going to blow my mind. Can't wait. It also looks huge!
