Had a heartbreaking day, I have a few pieces of my collection that I stored in my Mother's house, thought they were safe there, I was wrong. Turns out there was a roof leak right where I put them, and because it was an extra unused room, it went unnoticed for a while.

I lost the following...

RoboCop - One Sheet
Heavy Metal - B Sheet
Conan The Barbarian - One Sheet (80's Arnold version)
The Terminator - One Sheet
The Fog - One sheet
Ghostbusters - Advance
The Howling - One Sheet
Creepshow - One Sheet
The Blues Brothers - One Sheet
Darkman - One Sheet

The only poster out of that group to come out unscathed was the one sheet for Pulp Fiction.

Edit - Sadly, if I go to reputable dealears, most will cost me between $350 to $500 each to replace.

So sorry to hear bro. Truly ! :1-1:

I didn't want to start bashing the movie. It's by far my least favorite Marvel movie (DISCLAIMER: I haven't seen IM3 yet) but I think it had to do with my expectations. I was expecting something on par with Indy but it felt tremendously short for me. Cool poster none the less!

Sorry for your losses...

I'm just now starting to have the courage to store stuff in the attic.
I'm just storing empty sideshow boxes but I'm putting them in garbage bags sealed with packing tape. I'm using the extra thick contractor bags when possible or double bagging them.

All my one sheets are framed and on the wall. Were these just stored in some tubes?
I have a portfolio I keep my smaller stuff in (up to 24x36)
It would suck to get a leak near that thing.

Well, I began what is likey to be a long, slow process of replacing the posters that were destroyed. I managed to find a rolled original of Conan the Barbarian for only $150.00, really a very good bargain considering that these posters were always folded back in the 80's. My original was also folded. When I get this in the mail I will scrutinize it very thoroughly, but the dealer seems reputable.
