Explosions in the Sky is a great band. I recommend pretty much all their albums, they all play like a film soundtrack. One of those bands that having their music accompany brushing your teeth will make dental hygiene an epic voyage.

Nothing really interests me score wise for the rest of the year so I'm gonna go with IM2 as my favorite and the HP one was my biggest let down. I honestly only really like one of the tracks.

Not even Tron: Legacy?? From what we've been teased with I think this is going to be my favorite soundtrack this year.

Can't say I'm a fan of the techno stuff, I will give that and the Dawn Treader a listen for sure although really disappointed Gregson Williams didn't return.

IMO the best in the business right now is Clint Mansell and his latest for Black Swan dropped today and it's easily my score of the year.

Cool I'll definitely have to check it out. I just listened to the Tron Soundtrack for the second time, and I kind of feel letdown. It's alright, but not as epic as I thought it was going to be.

Exactly, same here.
I thought like:"Damn, DaftPunk are dooing the score for this great technological world flic? This gotta be epic."
But there are rarely electronic sounds and thinking of DaftPunk and getting this rather generic orchestral score is a really big disappointment.

Last great score music I listened to was Two steps from hell's Dreams and Imaginations and Nemesis.
Love those guys.
