Well I got so far Casino Royale and Iron Man. The mother and the gf chided me to wait for more until Christmas :lol Oh and I got the new TV. I went for a 26 inch Sony Bravia because it had 2 HDMI ports. Gotta say, I don't ever wanna go back.

not sure if your into the underworld series, (well there's only 2) but they look pretty good on blu-ray. as well as anything with a lot of special effect. ironman, transformers, etc. and yes, animation is unbelievable.

as disney rereleases their movies in blu-ray i'll probably pick them all up. if not for me but for the kids, and later grandkids.
the only thing with disney classic films,is that they only release them for a determined amount of time and then you can't get them anymore. so usually you can't get them on sale at all. the plus to it though is that the couple i have, is that they give a regular dvd along with the blu-ray also.

So I got a great deal on the HDMI cable but it won't be here until Friday *argh* But I have to say everything looks really nice. I am dying to watch episodes of Doctor Who though the PS3 just to see how it looks. :lol

Well I just pre-ordered the Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway in Blu-Ray. It was an amazing experience in the theater and having a mini theater now in my home I can't wait for Feb 3. Looking at getting Blade Runner, Wall E and a few others for Christmas. I was going to wait for the HDMI cable before watching flicks but I figured it won't be THAT vast a difference since Im only running on a 26 inch 720p.

It makes a difference, believe me.Never tried the difference on a blu-ray player, only on a dvd player and the difference is huge and im sure same goes for blu-ray.You are getting a HDMI cable right?Hdtv and Ps3 without hdmi is just wrong:lol

Oh Im def. getting the cable. It will actually be here on Friday. I went through Amazon who has a few cables dirt cheap right now. With the expedited shipping option it only cost me $18. Also, there's a reason I went out of my price range and got the Sony Bravia, and that's the two HDMI ports :lol Overall I am insanely happy with my purchases, just can't wait to test out more things with it.

My dad just bought a 32" Sony Bravia a couple months ago and the picture quality is truely amazing on it, I also like the fact that it has 2 HDMI ports so I am a little jealous of that.

I can recommend Batman Begins, Iron Man, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2 and Spider-man 3. I just picked up Predator for $13 at Walmart and it looks pretty amazing as well, the colours in the jungle are very vibrant.

So far I have been pretty happy with all of my blurays with the exception of Terminator 2 because it is the theatrical cut and not the extended version which was on the Extreme dvd release.

Iron Man looks absolutely stunning on Blu-ray. I also really like what they have done with Tim Burton's Big Fish and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I recommend those any time.

I, Robot
is one of the crown jewels in my Blu-ray collection.

Prepare to be blown away buy both audio and visuals.

Best animated is a toss up between Cars and Wall-E.

I bought the exact same tv as you a couple months back. I do not regret my purchase at all. I also bought a PS3 shortly after getting the tv and games and blu ray movies look awesome on it. Besides the 2 HDMI ports any specific reasons why you choose this tv?

Well the two HDMI ports, the nice in-store picture, the PC hookup, and the brand name were the top draws. Only thing getting to me right now is that since I have the tv hooked into my surround sound, neither the cable box nor the TV remote adjusts the volume and i have no clue where my surround sound remote is. :lol

Just got my HDMI cable and hooked it up and the difference is amazing. Going to watch Iron Man now for a while before I head off to work. And try not to miss Black and White Friday.

I just bought "No country for old men" on BR for $8.97 at Walmart today. Luckily I didn't get murdered at the door by a group of wild gorillas.

Has anyone mentioned a couple of the greatest movies known to man? They're available on Blu-Ray and are definitely a "must-have":

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
