I have to agree with everyone else. Boromir's just the kind of figure I had been hoping for with this line. Very impressive for under a hundred bucks! Now, I only hope they give Gimli and the hobbits the same treatment!
:chew

My Exc. Boromir arrived today (simultaneously with the Ex. Aragorn & Ex. Legolas) and I have to say that he's a phenomenal figure... Of course I also think the other two ar great---and I was pleasantly surprised with Aragorn after reading some very critical reviews about him.

The LOTR 12" line has become the third line from SS that I'm collecting. My Bond line is complete (I'm still debating about those 5 Apr rehashes of the Bonds) and the SW is cruising along fine (minus the Endor three stooges) but if SS continues to create LOTR like these three this will undoubtedly become my favorite of the three lines. With Faramir on the horizon and the dam about to break as I'm sure a Gimli, Gandalf, and hobbit announcement is forthcoming, this line looks head and shoulders above what any other company is or has offered from Tolkien's work.

Love it... Love it... Love it...

Geez, the hole struck me as the hole that goes into their mouth! Just paint it black to go with the black tongue of theirs! :rotfl

I have thought that too, but being so perfectly circular has let me to thing otherwise. I also thought they could be placed on something, but they don't fit on anything. I really would like an offical answer. Maybe Dusty or someone could find the answer for us? Boy that makes us sound very geeky :lol

Dusty: The Sideshow Freaks want to know what that hole on the bottom of the severed heads is for.

SSGuy: Boy those guys ARE Freaks! Don't they read MWC's reviews? Its so they stay put when being painted.

Just a guess, but it may have something to do with the molding process. Anyway, if you buy a piece of steel or brass rod of the same diameter, you could then mount the head on a wooden pedestal/base to display next to Boromir. That might look better than just laying it at his feet, or leaving it in the box! :D

I did that with mine and it looks pretty cool!
