you h-omos obviously have no love for the golden age characters of Marvel...This statue in a Display, with Cap, Thor, Hulk, Iron -man will make a great Marvel Super-heroes display with all the characters from the 1966 tv serie....Any true Marvel fans would want a Sub-Mariner statue in his collection ..

Concerning his outfit, we'll I guess being a very confident Hetero I dont have a problem with men in speedos... Namor has been a very important character to the Marvel Universe for over 50 years...But I guess,for some, Iron Spidey is cooler......

Although it looks great it's an easy pass for me sense I've never been a fan of Namor.Congrats to those that want it.

I am mystified that it can absorb anything. hehe

As for what Shai said, you called Cap gay looking when he first came out, so why are you all of a sudden coming to Namor's defence? Granted I have no problem with the character, and on stage I wore a banana hammock. Body building show people!

It's not that we don't like the character, we just wished it was a different sculpt/pose/medium.. like a PF, holding a trident, perhaps exploding out of the water or similar style to the Creature.

btw It is still a well sculpted piece from what I see, but is it something I want to spend a lot of money on? No.

P.S. I am also in the bracket that as cool as the Iron Spider-Man looks with the articulating looking robotic spider arms, it's just not my bag baby. Would have been a smarter character design if it had 8 arms to represent a spider, perhaps that would have made it too messy looking. Regardless, it doesn't have enough history for me (sorry Squider ), and much like the Venom/Punisher hybrid, it's also a BIG PASS for me. I much rather get the Hell Boy II PF that is coming out around the same time.

I agree, you gotta be a true Marvel head to appreciate this one and as I've said before he will look great paired up with the Thing and next to Doom as he is a Quasi-Villain.

The exclusive has to be the Trident.

Eli, I always hate telling people "I told you so" but this time, I think I'm going to enjoy it. With an ES of 750 for the excl., it's going to skyrocket. Just the base alone is worth it.

Everybody in the comic universe doesnt know his past which is why they say Namor!

I think the EX might be change of heads, with closed mouth? Works for me. The Trident will be on both, I am sure. SS is not gonna leave a key piece out.

I don't know where to start. I complained that Sideshow only did a few characters and when they do finally decide to release someone other than Iron Man or the Thing they do this. Personally I like Namor since he was around when I was a wee lad and I always liked him in the comics. I bought the Hard Hero Namor becasue I thought it best represented him and the sculpt was great. I like Sideshow's rendition of characters and the scale they come in but I have a few problems with this piece. I know I'm blowing smoke in the wind because Sideshow never and I mean never changes a sculpt once you see it this far along. but here are a few things the could make this sculpt not a OK sculpt but a great sculpt.

1.) Please fix the teeth they are really jacked up. Every time I see teeth like this I want to say please change dentist.

2.) The wings on the ankles are way too small. Other heroes are known by the things they carry. ie: Thor's hammer, Hulk's size and green skin, Cap's shield or Spider Man web's. Namor doesn't have much going for him in the way of accessories but you do know him by the wings on the ankles. They need to be big and much more pronouced than currently shown.

3.) The face is way too wrinkly and the skin tone too pale. Please add a little more tan to the skin and get rid of a few wrinkle lines.

4.) Keep the edition size low, I have a feeling that this won't move very fast. 250 to 500 pieces aught to do it.

Depending on the base, the overall sculpt and changes Sideshow makes, this piece can either be great or sit on the shelf and collect dust and ultimately be offered discounts to move them out.
