That rebel trench trooper is amazing! Can you show a clearer pic of the outer vest? Can't quite see it due to exposure in the pics. That's the one thing that held me back on this custom - sewing those quilted angle segments near the neck.

I'll see about getting better pics. In the meantime there's more pics back on page 41.

That's an amazing piece of sewing. I'm not sure how I'd approach that as it can't be dirtied up very much to cover any clumsy sewing, and the whole thing is white so doesn't hide anything. The puffy/pleated triangles look tough to make look good too. Feel like I could do everything but the vest so I'd have to see if there are sewing people who could do it.

One trick I learned is when making a pattern, give yourself extra seam allowance so it doesn't jam up in the machine. Very important when doing stuff this small. Once its sewn you just trim it off.

Finished my ANH Han. I passed on the HT even though its got amazing detail, the likeness is just not there. I may upgrade some things like the pants but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out.

Head - cast off ebay - its a modified cast of the SSC ANH Han painted myself.
Body - DAM toys
Hands - Hot Toys Jor El
Shirt - SSC dyed proper color
Vest - SSC untouched
Belt - DID German officer
Gunbelt - SSC but I replaced the waist belt since the stock was too small.
Pants - SSC Yavin Luke dyed blue and I salvaged the bloodstripes from the ANH Han pants and sewed them in
Boots - DID German officer

Nice work on Han, the upgrades to the outfit are awesome.

I like where you are going with Nysad, good stuff.

I'm all Hothed out creating customized Hasbro bits to complete my BD Hoth Luke, but I will look at doing a Hoth Rebel later this year. I need to learn how to sew.:(

Yup. All the belts are just strips of vinyl painted green drab. The buckles are from Rio Rondo. The biggest they have though is 3/16". They've been in my parts bin for a while. I took those cut the centre piece out, flipped it around (they are rectangular) so they are now taller than they are wide, and soldered on a new longer centre piece. Does that make sense? They were also gold so I had to paint them silver. They're a little dainty looking. I wish they were bigger, but...

No pics, but got a little more done on Nysad. Painting and assembling the head, helmet and hands. I also dirtied him up a bit.

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - Han Solo pg47

Finish Nysad. Snapped a few pics in the natural light.

Not sure who's next. My Weequay guard is finished, but still waiting for those stupid studs to arrive. I think they're lost. Might be time to get some more heads from Duane :)
I want to do another female figure though...

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - Han Solo pg47

Now I really want to do a Nysad. He'd be my first Jabba goon figure.

I hope I'm not sounding too forward here, Nate, but I love your eyes... :wink1:

Nysad looks really, really awesome dude! An absolute fantastic piece of work there, Nate.
