Rancor looks awesome Nate! The drool is a very nice touch.:clap

Your Praji repaint is as equally cool. Nice to see the "plasticy" shine removed & those damn lips toned down a few notches.

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - Attack of the Skiff Guards pg50

Well its been a while. Here's what I've been working on for the past month or so. I know its not a figure, but I had to take a break from that and hey some of the vehicles are just as iconic as some of the actual characters.

Picked this up 3-4 years ago and has been on my to do list ever since. Like everyone else upon opening the box and checking it out, was very disappointed. It was made before computers existed...well almost.

Before anyone gets too excited, NO this is not the fine molds kit and no I did not spend hundreds of dollars buying any of the upgrade parts out there. I did modify the docking ports, make an engine grill and lit the engine but thats it. I even painted the cockpit and turret glass black so you can't see the completely abysmal interior.

The plan from the beginning was to build it in flight so didn't bother with the landing gear.

blah blah blah. I think it turned out OK.

Great paint work Nate.

Gorgeous, Nate!

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

Thanks guys! Appreciate it!

I'd like to get a couple of Ties in behind firing at it, but I don't think there are any of the same scale. This is apparently 1:58 or something odd like that.

The micro machine ties are pretty close...

Falcon looks great. Love your setup here. :clap

Thanks again guys!

Unless we're looking at different things, then those micro machines are way too small. I'd need a Tie with a wing height of about 5-1/4"

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

Maybe look into the old Action Fleet stuff. The tie they made might work.

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

Everything looks great, I love the Falcon.

Re: Natedog's figure bashes and customs - What a piece of junk pg55

So I did some research this morning. The latest Disney store exclusive die cast are 4-14" which is pretty much identical to the fine molds 1:72. The old action fleet are the same size and most likely just a repackage although the old ones seem to look a lot chunkier. The old AMT model is apparently 1:51, so a bit too big but may look OK. Plus it comes with a half descent deathstar base. The Revell is 1:65, so a bit too small but may also look OK.

Decisions...decisions...
