it's very true. though the only thing that bothered me about lebron is the king james nickname (so please quit lumping all of us Lakers fans together, some of us really like basketball and don't just have Laker eyes). now i know he didn't give himself that name but NBA writers and the such should have not perpetuated the name until he earned it and he doesn't earn until he's a champion. other than that i think he's a great player, he needs to develope a midrange jumper and then he'll be really scary but the guy is obviously a natural.

Well, I didn't lump everyone together but the fact is its more than most Laker fans that are that way. As far as the nickname its just that a nickname. I find it funny anyone getting wrapped up in it. I didn't refer to Jordan as Air Jordan. MJ=Yes Air Jordan=No. I agree if he gets a bit better mid range game he will be crazy good.

God I hope he ends up with the Bulls. Would be fun to get a threat again. :)

I think his mid range has improved a lot from last year, but I also think the elbow hampered his shot a lot. He didnt shoot very many in the Boston series, but he still has a lot of room for improvement as well.

I'm assuming at this point the majority are pulling for a Lakers/Celtics rematch..

no..........I'm pulling for a Suns/Celtics match up :lol

I'm sure that the majority are, but I would like to see the Suns beat the crap out of the Lakers. Don't really care who they would play against, but I'm sure that I'll arbitrarily pick one team to root for when they start playing.

Are you reading any of the reports out there? :lol Even folks close to Lebron are talking about the Bulls being the perfect fit. They have the talent, making the playoffs without Lebron, have cap room for him and someone else. NY has crap. They have Lee who is probably going to leave and thats it. If they sign two max guys they cannot afford to get really anyone else and have nothing there. Why on earth would two superstars want that? James is not afraid of Jordan's shadow unlike a lot of guys out there. If anything I think he'd embrace it and want to be the guy to bring rings back to the Bulls.

I still think the chances are fairly high he stays with the Cavs. That being said if he leaves I'd rank them like this.

  1. Chicago
  2. Miami
  3. Clippers
  4. Knicks

Yeah, something isn't right with that elbow. You can see it in the way he was playing. The Celtics did what veteran teams do this time of year. WIN

yup i read the reports, but to believe them 100% is for noobs. There are always "insiders" or reports about rumors going on, but the fact of the matter is, NONE of them are coming from Lebron himself. He has not even recognized the Bulls as a destination, but he has spoken about how he loves New York on many occasions. Too much wishful thinking on your part, but I dont blame you, the bulls suck.

Just found this in my photobucket account, couldn't resist (again). :D

I don't believe them 100%. I still think in the end he most likely ends up in Cleveland. However, just because he talks about NY doesn't mean crap either. There's nothing in NY to play with or for. Even if they bring another guy with him. He'll need Bosh and Wade/Johnson to make them worth a damn. Actually, I have heard him talk about the Bulls in the past.

Not wishful thinking though its a fact we have a young roster on the way up and have pushed the Celtics and Cavs the last few years. As far as sucking nah thats not right either. We're not winning rings again yet but give us a couple more years and another player or so and we can be there.

Till then I love the direction we're going and can at least think about titles past (maybe even one during the 93-94 season coming against the Suns :lol)

Just more fun of what James may do. :lol

The notion that every player -- or at least every star player -- in the NBA wants to play in New York tickles me.

In the early 2000s, while a Knicks beat writer for The New York Times, I remember being baffled because many of my colleagues and readers thought every skilled free agent was headed to New York -- even though all the Knicks could offer such max-salary talent was the midlevel exception. They thought Grant Hill would leave Detroit for the Knicks (for less coin) and Chris Webber would spurn Sacramento for the Big Apple (and chump change).

Now, New York assumes it's getting LeBron James. At least the Knicks actually have the salary-cap space to pull this off. But while New York has a decent shot at LeBron, the idea that LeBron -- or any other great player -- needs New York or harbors this intense desire to play there is a joke.

LeBron, an endorsement king, is already the face of the NBA, despite being ringless in tiny Cleveland. The Internet and globalization have largely made where a player plays irrelevant in regard to marketing and popularity. So to suggest LeBron needs New York is nuts.

The only thing that can make him bigger is a title, not a town.

Celtics fans were chanting "New York Knicks" tonight every time LeBron James went to the foul line. Maybe they should have been chanting "Chicago Bulls."

Within minutes of the Cleveland Cavaliers' Game 6 loss to the Boston Celtics, the speculation about LeBron James' next destination began in full force.

In the space of five minutes I heard from three NBA GMs via text, e-mail and phone. All three said based on the information they have, they believe LeBron will leave the Cavs.

More surprisingly, all of them said they believe the destination will be the Chicago Bulls. Two said they believe John Calipari will be the Bulls' new head coach.

One GM went a bit further in a phone call a few minutes later.

"I think the Bulls are really going to go for it. Look for them to offer the Cavs Luol Deng in a sign-and-trade for LeBron. That will allow them to retain most of their cap space.

"Then they'll go after Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh as well."

lol the article should read "ONLY 3 GM's" think James will end up in Chicago.

Well, who knows how many have talked with the guy since then. Noticed he says within like 5 minutes of the game ending basically. :lol

Edit: May not happen but it sure as hell is fun thinking about it.

I do think we end up with something nice out of this summers crop of players.

Ah come on now. You know Phil plays mind games. Thats one of the many reasons he's a great coach. You have to work things.

Mind games? About Nash? He's one of the cleanest players in the league :lol.

That's straight up being a little _____ imo.

Phil does it with anyone. He did it with the Bulls against other teams. I agree Nash is clean as far as most things go. I'm sure like most pro guys he carries it some. Can't be worse than Ewing, Mourning, or Mutumbo. :lol I like Nash and the way he plays.

Typical PJ, he loves to stir the pot.. And Nash does carry the ball alot, but the NBA allows it so thats how it goes, AI made a living off that..

Phils comments might result in a few calls though..
