Well, I'll state the obvious and say that if the Celtics pull out a win in Game 7 in L.A. with no Perkins then they'll certainly have EARNED it.

You hate to see injuries have such a huge impact. Also, I know it was a small portion of the crowd, but the smattering of cheers when Perkins was down was pathetic.

As I said in an earlier post a few days ago, this series totally reminds me of the 94 Finals between the Knicks and Rockets, down to the wins.

94 Finals

Game 1: Houston
Game 2: New York
Game 3: Houston
Game 4: New York
Game 5: New York
Game 6: Houston
Game 7: Houston

2010 Finals

Game 1: LA
Game 2: Boston
Game 3: LA
Game 4: Boston
Game 5: Boston
Game 6: LA
Game 7: ?

Gonna have to go with LA, especially with Perkins down, limiting the number of bigs Boston can throw at LA's front court. With Perkins, Boston has four good front court players: Perkins, Garnett, Wallace, and Davis. Now they have to play Shelden Williams more, who was even MORE pathetic in Game 6 than he was before. Doc Rivers was smart to not play Rasheed Wallace so much, cause a seventh tech would have taken him out of Game 7. Still, I bet Sheed gets hit with two T's and gets thrown.

Eerily enough, Doc Rivers will have been involved in both series, as an injured player on the Knicks and as coach of the Celtics.

No doubt about it. They need to get this one, since barring a cap miracle this summer, the C's are heading toward a downturn.

Any Drew news? Not that he would be any more effective than Game 6, he basically was on IR anyway. I don't think there's much they can do with the back of his knee with a LM tear. He may play limited minutes until he can't run so...

Perkins Out. Bynam Out or ineffective. We'll see the same Guys on the floor that finished Game 6. You have to give Lakers a size advantage here because Phil will prolly have Lamar play 35-40 minutes now, if he doen't mess up.

And I totaly agree with you Celts fans, Baby needs a big game as does Garnett. Both are very capable. every Player is gonna put tremendous effort into the game tomorrow.

Regardless of size... if Pierce/Allen/Garnett are on we have a good shot. If not, we're fooked. Pretty simple.

Agreed. If the Celts shoot over 55% they should Win. Under 50%, prolly not, depending on how each team's defense plays.

The first quarter will tell us a great deal about how it goes down...

I hope we get a close game for once. None of the games have come down to one play or shot yet. It would be pretty cool to have the championship won or lost on one made or missed shot.

The thing that hurts the Celts the most about Perkins out, is the fact that they will have to play the worst player on either teams bench; Sheldon. I hate to bash on a guy like him, hes nice and everything, but he really sucks so bad, he hurts his team every second hes on the floor. KG has to play at least 42 mintues in game 7 for them to have a chance and I dont see that happening. I dont see how LA loses on their own floor tomorrow night. God I hate LA :gah:

It still bugs me when teams call yellow "gold". :lol

That said, let's see what happens tonight. Sucks about Perkins, but injuries are an unfortunate part of the game... even at this time. No excuses. It is what it is, and I will accept any outcome.

Nash enjoy your team next season..

Any hope of the Phoenix Suns re-signing Amar'e Stoudemire(notes) has vanished, according to ESPN.

A source for the site says that Stoudemire, who will choose not to opt into a contract that would pay him around $17 million next year to stay in Arizona, isn't even considering re-signing a long-term deal at this point: "He is done," the source. "He's gone."

The final nail in the coffin was the stepping down of general manager Steve Kerr, who Stoudemire's agent had begun conversations with. "Kerr wanted a little raise, (owner Robert) Sarver wanted him to take a pay cut," one source told the site. "There's no other way to spin it."
