I dont understand what Heat fans want? A cookie? Great accomplishments happen all the time during the season. Good for them. Maybe if there wasnt a particular Heat nut-hugger in here making enough noise for 20 Heat fans and they were as classy, eloquent and logical as you appear to be, maybe the non-Heat fans would give them their due.

And the reason you would hear more celebration from Laker fans is because there are many more Laker fans in this thread.

Finally, if the Heat win it all this year (big IF), then I will certainly give them their praise because even if they have the "big two-and-a-half", its still a great accomplishment to win a championship no matter what. Because it will still be impressive for them to pull off a championship when their team defies every possible logic of what makes up a championship team. And for that, I personally would be VERY impressed.

Dude, aren't you same guy who is invalidating the 06 championship!?!?!

I give Miami credit for not rioting during the 2006 championship. As much as I hate that Godforsaken piece of **** city, it showed some class then.

As it also did during the 1997 Marlins' championship, and the 2003 Marlins' championship.

If the Heat win this year, I'd HOPE for more of the same.

Thats the great part about a lukewarm fan base... nobody cares much either way!

Wellllllll...I don't know if I'd call it lukewarm anymore, man. Granted, the seats are never 100% full at game time, but the amount of people "reppin'" the Heat has increased ten-fold since 2006.

We'll see...

This town certainly is the bandwaggon capital of the nation. :lol

But lately we've been provided with crappy professional football and baseball products, so the Heat have been a blessing.

With that being said, there is also the other end of the spectrum found here. Fanatical and diehard sports nuts following their teams through thick and thin.

I just caught up with this thread and had to laugh out loud at most of the garbage spewing from the Heat Haters. I would think that those of you posting here would, at the very least, be basketball aficionados as well as tiresome cheerleaders for your own teams. For the first time since the 60's, three players on the same team score 30-10+ and not even a tip of the hat from any of you. Un-freakin' real.

If the Lakers had done it, we wouldn't be hearing the end of it. Not to mention the fact that I would be the first to acknowledge the feat.

Wake is right. The Heat season is one big "Kobayashi Maru"...

No win scenerio.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

On a different note, a big tip of the hat to Rose in Chicago. The guy is the real deal. Reminds me of a young Wade.

Well it hasn't even been a full season yet and Heat fans are already complaining of the unreasonable hatred coming their way - damned if you do/don't - well Most of us Lakers fans have been dealing with that much longer. Come back in 30 years and we'll talk about all that hate until then I don't think you have too much to complain about.

Still plenty of time to get healthy but this is the wrong time of the year for this stuff.

This is why I hope the bulls got all of this out of the way earlier in the year and were able to play as well as they did.

Except for Derrick Rose who hasn't missed a game... i dunno... I hope for your sake it doesn't happen. In Chicago's case he is literally EVERYTHING.

Yes, we've been fortunate that he's been healthy and he is the biggest piece on the team. Which is one of the reasons why I think he is the MVP. However, we can't afford to lose Boozer, Noah, or Deng as the next biggest pieces. Though, to be honest since we play team basketball I don't want to lose anyone.

Knicks game bout to start. My keys for the game:

Billups' FG: 30%

Melo's FG: 42%

16 Turnovers

Every Magic player with a ball blowing past Stoudamire

D'Antoni calling a TO AFTER the Magic have gone on a 15-0 run

Howard dunks on everyone

Me turning the game off at halftime.

Let's go Knicks!

Chicago gonna have to pick it up in the second half. They can't toss a rock in the ocean right now and Philly has been shooting well.

Wow. Melo is UNSTOPPABLE tonight and the Knicks are actually playing defense.

My God...

Edit: Looks like I was right about Billups and Howard, though.

Overtime we go...
