Chicago gonna have to pick it up in the second half. They can't toss a rock in the ocean right now and Philly has been shooting well.
Anyone catch the ESPN doc on the Fab Five?
Great stuff
Better in the second half but just looked tired and flat all night. Ah well move on tot he next one.
Yeah I watched it on its premier night and Rose is a moron. All the stuff he said about Hill and Duke was pretty low. Did you all see Hill's response to Rose? It was spot on. Gave me a new respect for Hill. Kinda interesting Webber refused to participate too. They werent the first to start the baggy pants/black sock trend as they claim. There were so many things wrong with that special, it almost seemed like a joke...
The way things have been going for the Bulls, I thought for sure they would come back from that 23-point deficit.

Yeah, his comments just went way too low. It didn't show a lot of class and I already respected Hill but was glad to see him make that post back at him. I was surprised Webber didn't do anything with it but I do know after looking around he can't have anything to do with the program for 13 years or something like that. Plus he's never been one to admit to being wrong on anything always was a big baby. The thing with the baggy shorts is that guys like Jordan helped make it big well before the Fab 5.
I didn't think his comments about Hill were low at all. He was saying that was how he felt at that time and even went so far as to say he was jealous of Hill for having a good family life. He didn't say that was how he felt now.
Really? Not low at all. One black guy calling another black guy an uncle tom is as low as you can go. He should have just said he was jealous.
He said that was how he felt as a young college kid. He was being honest as to how they perceived Duke and their players. I didn't take it as him taking a shot at Hill. I saw it as him acknowledging his ignorance.
I think it was something that he shouldn't have said period. Even if its not how he feels now. Because it looks as if its taking a shot and the media coverage showed most folks agreed it looked that way. Rose just should have known better but the guy was a tool in college and the pros.
I still laughed when he said he thought Laettner was a _____ though.

Thats fine if he wants to "claim" thats not how he feels now. Common sense would dictate that a guy who is trying to keep the momentum of his broadcasting career going would say thats not how he feels now. But he never really atoned for his supposed ignorance about Duke. He almost seemed like he was proud of how he and his crew felt. He didnt seem very sincere to me at all.
Saying something completely racist and saying its how you felt at a different time shouldnt give you a free pass to repeat it 20 years later.
