Who was it who 'cursed' wade earlier this week? THink it was a Lakers fan... I wonder if Kobe's sprain is karma?
I hate to say this, but kobe might be more hurtful to the team then helpful if he forces the issue with his injury. Trying to guard a healthy Chris Paul on a bad sprained ankle is like trying to sell ice to an eskimo. If kobe tries to force the issue and insists on guarding chris paul, like he did the other night, the lakers will lose again.
Kobe is not fighting against the hornets, nor is he fighting Chris paul. He is now fighting against his own body. His mind is trying to force his body to play, and his body is breaking down and refusing to play.
Kobe's toughness and stubbornness play-at-all costs attitude is admirable, but in the long run, it may hurt his team and do long term damage to his body. Keep kobe in the game at certain moments, but don't let him have his wish and try to guard chris paul for 38 mins. Even a healthy shannon brown or matt barnes can defend chris paul better then an injured kobe. As laker fans, kobe has won it for us on several occasions, and he has also lost it for us on several occasions. We live and die by the sword. Let's hope Phil makes the right decisions, and lets hope kobe will listen to him. Let's prey and hope that the lakers can make it to the next round.

Wrong again wasn't me bozo. I prefer healthy squads to face. That was someone else. I was thinking past years my nba threads have been pretty cordial, this until the "FAITHFUL" heat fan showed up.

Heat = EPIC hype from the beginning. Underperfomed in the regular season, squeeked by a .500 first round match up. Out in round 2. A whole lotta nothing.
Spurs = miserable postseason 2010 exit. Expected to do nothing in regular season. Overachieved in regular season with 2nd best record. miserable postseason 2011 exit.
What do you see in common? We both did not win a ring.

You can speculate all you want... fact of the matter is that no matter what you say there's a reason they play the games. I dunno what you mean by squeaked by a .500 team either... 4-1 is a pretty decisive victory. It be kinda like saying teh Grizz squeaked by the SPurs when we all know that that san antonio was just violated and humiliated.

You mean like the Heat were when they were pre-Riley? When they were busy retiring other players numbers? I think we'll be fine. Spurs management knows how to draft, unlike the Heat who have to $pend to contend. And if we have to wait a few years to contend, Im ok with that. We had a great run. Much better than the Heat will EVER have. Your franchise is a SKID MARK compared to ours. One championship wonders. No one even remembers your lone championship.

Now that's a pretty foolish statement.
75% of the NBA lost money this year(big time) while the NHL has actually managed to grow.
I may love my Knicks more than the Sabres, but even I can admit that hockey is a bit more exciting than basketball.
If you're French Canadian, however, I take the statement back.
