The biggest X factor for the C's is Rondo. If Rondo is on his game, it wont even be close...

He's definitely a factor. But not the only one. If he's on his game yet Pierce and Allen are cold and their shots aren't dropping it could be a struggle. Against any team, really. It's nerve-wracking when the C's have to resort to a defensive hack-fest that can go either way. It was like that in the first 2 games of the Knicks series, actually.

C's won 3 of 4 against Heat this season. In the first two wins, Rondo had 16 and 17 assists respectively. Allen/Pierce had great games.

In game 3, Rondo had a triple double, Allen had 13 pts, Pierce had 1 point in 40 minutes. C's still won.

In their lone loss, Rondo had 5 assists. C's loss.

Now if the big 3 for Boston go cold the entire series, yeah you're gonna have problems. But Rondo is the key. He's the facilitator of that entire offense.

If Rondo is Rondo, C's win easy.

I thought we'd established that Regular season games mean nothing... Isn't that what all the lakers fans tell me every time I say the Heat are 2-0 against LA?

After the Celtics and Spurs get eliminated and my Heat are still in the playoffs i want Jstep to come in this thread and say 'I WAS WRONG. I CLEARLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. I KNOW ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT BASKETBALL'

In respect to what? That it automatically entitles you to a championship like you seem to believe? No.

But you can pull trends and see what strenghts and weaknesses are. Four games is a pretty good indicator. So what trends can you pull from the two Lakers/Heat regular season match ups?

Will you say the same if the Celtics win the series??

Well since you're crickets, Ill give you some.

Bosh has gotta play a perfect game and Kobe has gotta shoot like a dog. Youre gonna have to shut down Bynum. Tonya Harding available? Gonna have to shut down Lamar Odom for the series too. Heat's gonna have to hit threes at a 43% clip consistenly, better hope they dont go cold. Heat arent really known for being a three point team. Spoelstra is gonna have to outcoach Phil. Wade and LeBron are gonna have to be absolutely CLUTCH which frankly they are not, in fact, quite the opposite.

Think thats gonna happen in 4 Heat wins?

Your only hope is the big dogs get eliminated in the West IF you somehow miracle yourselves into the Finals.

Oh and last I looked, Amar'e played every game. Its not the C's fault he played like garbage.

Amar'e played only the first game fully.

He was out in the 2nd game by the end of the 1st quarter.

Played injured in games 3 and 4.

Billups didn't play at all.

The Celtics beat our ass, that much is true. But they beat Melo and...well... "4 Tito Jacksons."

Bah. Allan Houston was the man.

So was Ewing.

Ah, memories....

The Knicks were my team when I started watching basketball and became an NBA fan. Yes, most basketball fans were bemoaning Pat Riley and his "Force Basketball", but he had to work with what he had. Taking the Bulls to the limit in '92 hooked me as a Knicks fan.

I still cringe at the thought of Charles Smith missing those potential game tying layups the following year when the Knicks were suppose to dethrone the Bulls. I really think Riley tinkered too much with the team, and should have kept Mark Jackson instead of trading for Doc Rivers and Charles Smith.

And Allan Houston was a great free agent signing and had the best mid-range game at the time. Unfortunately, most New Yorkers disparage him for his final contract, but how was it his fault that management was willing to give him a max contract that made him untradeable?

I really hated the fact that they traded Oak, but that lock out shortened '99 team that made the finals played with a lot of heart, and Marcus Camby showed his worth in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Larry Johnson at 6'6" was the team's power forward, and he was way overmatched by Tim Duncan.

I think this will be the first time in a long time i pull for the celtics to spank their opponent. Wake is such a ducking idiot. Lakers play better w. Their backs against the wall. We got a series now and i expect a whooping next game w. A functioning kobe or not. Wtf is up w. Gasoft? Man up euro..

Not for nothing, but Wake gets reemed for using moron and idiot, but short bus and the above is acceptable?

Double standard here its seems...

Im actually rooting for the Heat now, just to see the reaction in this thread :)
