Im not sure Melo will help NY anyway, what has he ever done in Denver? And hes had talent surrounding him almost every year. Just dont think hes worth NY spending another 20 mil per season for

When Amare goes to the bench, the Knicks offense lays dead. Melo would be another option that we sorely need.

Also, he can rebound, which would help greatly since we're one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

^^^ Agreed. And playing in NY...he would either GET serious, or he would be forced to GTFO.

The fans, the media, etc. would "force" him to. Relationships can sour extremely quickly in NY.

Melo is a beast. definitely one of the best finishers in the game next to kobe and lebron.

The thing with the heat is they have to have those 3 play lights out everynight to win. Plus they've beaten a lot of really not so great teams over the course of these wins. Their record against good teams isn't that good.

Chicago is still hanging tough. Learning to win which will do us well when it comes to playoff time.

Dwade had 18 pts against the Lakers... is that lights out?

Lebron had 20 pts against houston... is that lights out?

And if it is Light out... they dont have to try that hard to do it.

Oh and btw, the Heat arena is SOLD out for every game. The regular fan can help it if the ticket brokers and corporate sponsors bought out the ridicilously priced lower bowl and the arena stays empty.

ALSO, whats better? Celtics need Garnet to suit up. Mavs cant win without Dirk.

NOBODY in this thread would scoff at having the Heat's team (and signed thru 6 season on top of it).

correct me if im wrong, but only Boston, SA and Dallas have better records against 500+ teams. Not sure how that equates to them being bad against good teams.

I always thought he was overrated and overpaid. Plus his name is dumb. It makes me hungry for a chocolate bar.

melo isnt overrated, but he cant will his team like Kobe or make his teammates look great like Lebron. Hes just a great scorer and good rebounder. Doesnt make a great leader either. Forget old man Celtics, the Lakers look old as ____. Its gonna be funny as hell if LA cant even snag home court in the first round.

Lakers don't need homecourt to win it all.. For them it doesnt really matter how you play in December or January.. No one will remember come May.. Health is the main key.

Well, I disagree considering NO 4th seed or lower (except houston in 95) has ever won the NBA championship... you better hope the Lakers not only get homecourt in the first round but at least the 3rd seed in west... (Which Utah and OKC will be fighting the lakers for)

Yeah, they have a .500 record. I was talking about over this last streak they've been on.

What? In the last 18 games they've beaten Knicks twice, Utah, Atlanta, New Orleans and the Lakers... combined record 108-64. They lost to 1 +.500 team... Dallas by 2 points in a game they had a chance to win.

Theyve also lost to a couple of those teams as well and got swept by Dallas. Still have 1 more with LA too plus they haven't played Chicago yet.

That team that lost... is NOT the team they are now. Bulls nor LA will beat them. The only team with right mix of talents to present challenges to Heat are very strong Defensive teams... Celtics (when healthy) and Mavs (with Dirk healthy).

We shall see. I like chicago against them as we play a bit of D and have the players who aren't afraid of heats trio.

Theres no way they'll be under 4.. My guess is 2 or 3.. NO one in the West worries me...
