The really bad ass and confident lakers are playing MUCH worse than the Heat have this season pal. Heat have 1 loss by double digits. How are your boys doing in that category? Phil Jackson and Kobe are coming apart at the seams. Typical egotistical Laker fan thinks the world revolves around the lakers... but you cant tell that your window is shut. Kobe is OLD and stubborn. Pau is disinterested. Fisher? Artest? Senior citizens. NO PHIL JACKSON CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM HAS EVER LOST THREE GAMES IN A ROW BY DOUBLE DIGITS. You just got spanked AGAIN three games later. Everyone seems to think Champions are going shut-up the doubters... the reality is Champions are ALWAYS dethroned--sooner or later.

Feel free to test my basketball knowledge... or are you content with making ridiculous generalized accusations?

Like I said... keep underestimating the Heat.

I don't think anyone is underestimating the heat right now. They are kicking ass. If anything, I think the Lakers are being underestimated more than any other team in the NBA. Miami's big three are finally starting to gel, which means trouble for the east. That being said, I still think Boston will take the east if they are all healthy come playoff time. Celtics seem to have Miami's number. If the celtics are still injury plagued during the playoffs, then Miami will come out on top.

The only thing Popovich cares about is being healthy and ready for the playoffs. The fact that they are playing Duncan less than 30 minutes a night and 29-4 at this point is just icing. The Spurs still need to get better defensively, which they are showing signs of, and rely less on shooting 3's.

Who wouldve though a year ago that Duncan would be a non-factor and the Spurs would be top 10 greatest starts in NBA history.

Pop = greatest NBA coach of all time imo...

I CANT WAIT UNTIL PLAYOFFS!!!

So I guess number of rings automatically equal greatness? So I guess Bill Russell is GOAT? Horry > Kobe? Your basketball wisdom continues to impress me. Keep those wise nuggets coming...

Anyways, to me its about doing more, with less. I think Jerry Sloan ranks up there as well. But c'mon, Phil had MJ, Pippen, Kobe, Shaq and Pau. To just blindly automatically rank him as the greatest of all time is superficial imo. What did he do when he didnt have Pip or Pau? He was an AVERAGE COACH.

pop is just great at firing head coaches and making himself the coach right before the spurs are set to draft tim duncan :nana:

in all seriousness, i can't believe that the spurs are are good as they are this year

your such a retardo, its not how much talent you have on your team, its what you do with. Sloan had Malone and Stockton who were great in their own right, never got past Phil, Pop has argueably the best PF to ever play the game for how many years? Yea, he has 4 rings, but thats almost 1/3 less than Phil. Phil perfected the triangle offense. Your the dumb ass that says Horry is better than Kobe, not me. Last time i checked, this was about coaching :cuckoo:

Pop is a great coach. However, better than Jackson? :lol Please All that guy has done is win.

Well Im not going to respond to you and your personal attacks anymore because its clear Ive gotten under your thin skin. When you grow up and put the big boy britches on, let me know and we can chat. k, thanks

When he has serious HOF talent, yes you are correct, there's no one better. Sans heavy HOF talent, not so much. He's never won a ring with only 1 HOF talent.

You are correct, sir. He sat by patiently waiting 3 seasons for his coaches to take them to the next level. They never did. And when Duncan came along, instead of sitting and fiddling his fingers, he took the helm like a leader should and righted the ship. Jeez, you act like he's Pat Riley. Talk about a coach that steps in after lame duck coaches fail to claim success.

I am correct in every instance with this one. The one Bulls team that didn't with him that only had 1 I guess got ____ed by a bad call. That team probably would have won it. If you're only basing it on that little bit then Red Auerbach who I would put behind Jackson isn't second best because he had so many HOF players

I think this is one of those we won't see eye 2 eye on. I like Pop and think he's a great coach. Knows how to get things done but not a chance in hell ever will be be considered better than Jackson at least for me.

Sorry but "probably" doesnt do much for me. It goes both ways. If Paxton missed, Suns probably wouldve been champs. If Jordan missed against Bryon Russell, Jazz probably wouldve won, etc. You can go on and on and on with probablys with any team.

I would put Red and Phil in the same categories as great talent coordinators.

No offense, but I dont care what you consider. Im not trying to convince anyone that Pop is the greatest of all time. Thats futile. Thats why I said IMO. Because everyone has the right to their opinion. I do know there's not many coaches that have done more with the revolving door of the collection of talent than Pop has. And he's proving it again this year with a bunch of overachievers and his 1 lone superstar taking a role player position.

Thats ok cause no offense I don't care what you consider either. :) Both are great coaches but I think if you ask anyone outside of SA who is the better coach Jackson wins hands down.

SA only has one Superstar? ok wait let me guess.......Parker.....wait, Ginobli....wait, Duncan........It's one of those guys right?

Pop is a fantastic coach and I would definately rank him and Sloan very high on the list because they both do tend to get looked over, but greatest? Not sure, I mean his first ring came with Duncan and Robinson not exactly a roster of nobodies but all that said, you are correct that these kind of statements are personal opinions and nothing more.

All this Heat talk reminds me of when had Mourning and company back in the 90's. Talked a lot of ____ just to get _____ slapped by Jordan and the Bulls.

.

Ahem. Excuse me. They "talked a lot of ______ just to get _______ slapped by Ewing and the KNICKS."

The 90's Knicks ALWAYS owned the Heat.

Then the Bulls owned the Knicks.

Get it right.
:wave

Oh, and speaking of the Spurs, while I'm almost certain they will demolish my VERY THIN Knicks line-up tonight, I am anxious to see Turiaf start at center and Chandler get more playing time at SF.

God help me if there is another injury besides Gallo.
