Suns 12 wins to nothing and NO RINGS EVER. :p

Damn Ill you must be really sour to have to resort to meaningless comebacks like that :) It's ok, no rings ever doesnt really affect me, im a fan but i dont decide my enjoyment of my team by how many PAST titles are won. If that is the case then I think you as a Laker fan are a cop-out, just choosing to cheer for the EASIEST team in the NBA :).

It would be awesome to see Nash win a ring before he is done, but if not my life goes on and he'll still be one of the most bad ass point guards to ever play the game.

And all your past championships can't make up for how your Lakers are being embarrassed right now by the Mavs. :wave

Nash deserves to win the whole thing before it's said and done, as does Jason kidd, why i'm basically hoping the Mavericks finally win a championship, but since the Spurs are out, I just don't want the Lakers or Heat to win.

If Nash wants a ring he better come sign a one year deal with the heat

Lakers are never out of it. This year 10 years from now. That's what's great about being a basketball in LA. I really do think we can even this up. This team needs to be humbled before they really react unfortunately. If not congrats to the mags and I hope they take it all. I just hate that buttfaced owner, he'$ a good owner though, just a buttface.

Better win 2 in Dallas!!

My Pau for a bailing D Howard trade is looking real good right about now..

Yep, I see it now, I haven't seen Pau look this ineffective and out-muscled in three years. I'd rather have his bro Mark in there now... Pao deserved the boos too, that will leave a mark.

And I think Mitch's off season trades weakened the team this year. The moves were made specifically for bench strength playoff advantage and they are proving to be a weakness.

Still, if the Lakers play the way they can, they can come out of the hole they put themselves in, but I doubt they'll prevail now.

Game one was inexcusable, Championship teams do not give games like that away and game one may have lost the series for them.

I just don't know if the Lakers really want to fight through this again this year.

One other note. Seems to be a trend not only in the NBA (Spurs, Celts, Lakers) but also in the NHL this year where established teams are getting blown out. (Flyers, Red Wings, etc.)

dirk is playing the best ball of his life right now and the lakers seem to be a little snakebitten by the fact that the mavs can actually play D(it feels weird typing that).

i really hope artest isn't suspended for game 3...keep him out there bricking 3's and trying(and failing) to guard dirk. and a memo to ron...when you clothesline an opponent, don't hit your own player in the nards as well

As I mentioned in this thread at the end of the regular season (and Kerr also mentioned last night), the Lakers just plain look tired. They've played more games than anyone else in the league over the past 4 years and I think that it has caught up to them.

The Lakers have other problems though and Artest being Artest was not something they needed right now, but that's what happens when you have a guy like him on your team (I still believe we should have kept Ariza but that's neither here nor there now). I would like to say that Pau is playing like a girl but that would actually indicate that he's playing..........

Big factors in this series. We have no one that can stop dirk and pau is playing like a girl.

it's funny...you used to be able to stop dirk with an undersized athletic small forward, but he has finally figured out how to take those guys down low and abuse them. if he would have figured that out a few years ago he would probably already have a ring or two. :(

The german can't be stopped!

you were saying? lol

lol @ Mavs fans coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden :lol

dude...with our history of failures we're not exactly rushing to scream from the rooftops these days.

by the way, thanks for giving us some company on "the list"...glad to see that we're roomies now. :)

There's no excuse for the way the Lakers played last night, they deserved the loss. They need to win two in Dallas or else they are done for this year.

:lecture

Dont you understand Nash's logic by now? Ill give you a synopsis of what Ive learned:

Nash logic 101:
A) Losing in playoffs means you automatically forfeit any satisfaction of past accomplishments and you are not allowed to talk about past accomplishments

B) Missing playoffs is a greater accomplishment than losing in playoffs

C) Suns > your team no matter what...no real reason why, they just are

D) Playing high school basketball automatically makes you an expert on professional basketball

I think that about sums it up :lol :rolleyes2

Only lists Spurs fans care about is championship lists, are the Mavs on that one yet? :nana:

Nothing wrong with talking about past championships, just because it happened before this year doesn't make it any less valid, in some cases depending on who played that year more valid. I don't care if Duncan ever makes it out of the first round, he's still a 4 time champion and that will never change.
