I don't know why exactly Stern wanted the Spurs to win, but you have to imagine he did considering he made sure they won the Duncan sweepstakes.
Until they televise the actual lotto draw, I'll always believe its fixed.
There's really no reason not to show it if its not fixed because it would draw a lot of viewers if they showed it.

Stern loves dynasties, but I think he wanted to move it as the fan base for Boston was solid, I guess to Texas, maybe to draw Mexican fans. Probably would have preferred the Mavericks, if they weren't such a crap organization back then. I guess he thought he gave Dallas their chance already with Kidd, Mashburn and Jim Jackson, and the Rockets were already good.

This latest draft was fixed in the sense that Griffin is good, but will never be an all-NBA player. Absolutely perfect way to keep Sterling placated without giving him the leagues brightest stars to ruin. I think the next team Stern will look to build in next 3 years or so will be Golden State.

i can't remember fisher's shot, probably because he's derrick fisher. lol. people will remember this because its lebron. it'll be like jordan over ehlo. damn too bad this wasn't against chicago for payback.
I think that's because most of Horry's buzzer-beaters were just clinching the inevitable. The Lakers owned the NBA during those couple of years. Jordan's, Fisher's and (potentially) James' changed the entire complexion and outcome of their series.
