Seriously though, congrats to the Celts. They worked hard and were gritty.. Hopefully our young guys can learn from them and this experience, along w/ adding a defensive take it strong to the hole big man Bynum and take it to the next level next year.. Hopefully againt the Celtics..
What a Lakers season its been..
And I'm out..
HIIOO OOO O O O O OO O O O O O O OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Just got back from the game and let me tell you it was so freakkin loud in there the last 8 or so minutes it was crazy. What an ass-whippin my C's put on the lakers I mean come on we win by 39. I just hope for a rematch next year and that the lakers show up. Now off to bed as work starts in 4 hours!!!!
Congrats my fellow celtics fans and be proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to the Celtics - clearly the better team on the court - and nice to see they won in extremely convincing style. The Lakers may be a year away from a title... they certainly have many peices of the puzzle in place. Bynum will be a big plus for them next season and they have a entire season to learn to play together as the Celtics did.
If anyone cares, Rasheed Wallace can be had from here in Detroit.
Wow, just wow. I felt the Celtics would win game 6 fairly easily but that was crazy. Early in the 3rd quarter the play-by-play guy kept pointing out how both teams battled back from large deficits earlier in the series, but I had no doubt it wasn't going to happen this time. The Celtics were up by 28 and going hard after the ball while the Lakers were standing around waiting for the ball to come to them. There was no way the Celtics were going to allow this one to slip away. I didn't get to bed until 2:15 but I'm wide awake this morning. :chew
Sadly the same can't be said about Pierce. I mean what was he thinking about dumping that crap on Rivers. This ain't football. You wouldn't have seen Jordan, Bird, Johnson, or Russell do that.
I like Kevin Garnett. He's a very very good player and always gives 110%. Sometimes he does some things reaction wise that annoy me but it has more to do with today's athlete than anything. I'd take the guy on my team I know that. Russell is a great guy for KG to be around talk about learning from one of the best.
