When people root for your team to fail or when there are almost as many (or more) people who hate your team than root for it... it usually means your team is one of the best and most historically successful organizations in its sport.

Think about. What teams are the most loved/hated in their respective sports?

Yankees
Notre Dame
Cowboys
Celtics
Lakers
Canadians

What do all of these teams have in common? They've all won more championships than any other team in their sport (with the Celtics now just a couple moe championships ahead of the Lakers). It just goes with the territory. Take the hate and wear it as a badge of pride.

Of course, as a Red Sox fan I'm obligated to hate the Yankees regardless. :emperor

I am a Philly fan and we suck at almost anything. Yet I only hate Dallas. If you want the true history I will lay it all out for you but it has nothing to do with wins and losses. It has to do with a certain politician that got booted out of Philly and moved to Dallas. This was a very long time ago and I don't expect you to know the story. However, that is where the Philly Dallas rival came into play.

Not gloating or anything but it will be great to see KG and Ray finally get a championship.

I gotta say I'm a bit disappointed with how poorly the Lakers played tonight. They were just sloppy. A lot of that is due to the Celt's D but damn they had a lot of turnovers.

And in even better basketball news, all the Tar Heel players that were leaving early decided to come back :D:D:D Perfect season, here we come

Boston should just have their parade already. THis SERIES is OVER!!!!

Oh, I hear you, believe me. As a Red Sox fan, I'd hate the Yankees with or without their 26 World Series titles.

You know what Irish? This actually makes me feel better.

Thanks and congrats, the Celtics were the better team...this time. :duff

I'll put my money on the Lakers for next year right now

The Lakers have every reason to be very optimistic about the future. But they need to get through the off-season unscathed and then run the gauntlet that is the Western Conference once again.

The west is going to be even tougher next year.

PS: This game is just getting silly now...

Yeah, ONLY Laker fans do that. What a stupid ****ing statement.

Uh oh! Do i sense some....
