Personally I think that's pretty lame, I'd stick with the Spurs no matter, lucky for me they have been good for the last 15 years or so, but if you read this thread it appears they are a lottery team, I sometimes feel you guys live in Bizarro world where the spurs are bad, I mean other then the Lakers and Bulls, they have then most titles in modern era. :slap

Good for you, now STFU and mind your own business. I root for who I want when I want, for whatever reason I want. Fact of the matter is i'm a huge Howard fan. Met him several times and the guys always been nice polite, and first class. He signed stuff for me and my kids without us even asking on more then one occasion. When my son was sick he called him and sent him some stuff, I'll always be a Howard fan.

That's kinda cool. Kinda makes me respect Howard a little, even after he skipped his own Basketball camp and the whole trade fiasco.

Great moves this offseason by the Lakers. Knowing that the season until at least the second half will be a bit rough they'll be fun to watch and see what they can do with all that talent.

Nash is one of the guys I want to get a ring. It'd be nice if he gets one this season with the Lakers.

Assuming all players are in their primes, it's pretty correct. Malone is better then Gasol and Shaq is better then Howard. However, when they joined the Lakers Malone and Payton were not in their prime.

It's hard to judge cuz Kobe was def better then. Still I love our chances. Nash and Howard are both very hungry for a title.

malone and payton were both done, shells of their former selves..nash may be older but he's a different creature. this team is smart, well rounded and fits like a glove. dangerous

Lakers have arguably one of the best, if not they best roster in the NBA on paper. However, my concerns are with the coaching. Last season, gasol and bynum were caught disrespecting their coach by not showing up to a huddle after a loss in a playoff game to the thunder.

As hard and as diligent as brown is in his work ethic, Brown has the tendancy to have a double standard with how he treats different players on the team.( i.e kissing up to all star players by letting them get away with things on the court that normal players he would never let get away with).

If Brown can gain the respect of all the players, 1-12, to fall in line and play for him, we have a great chance at a championship. If he doesn't, we will have a long season. I like Nash and his maturity level. He will be the leader and the glue that holds the team together like Fisher was. I hope that he can keep the team together if Brown fails to do so.

nash is a great leader. everyone respects him. we'll have lots of wins which means everyone will be happy. i remember bynum not showing for plenty of huddles but never gasol.

With regards to Gasol not showing up to an after game huddle, I think it was after the game 1 loss to the thunder during the playoffs. Bynum and Gasol were caught on tv discussing strategy after the loss, when they both should have been with the team for a huddle after the game.

With regards to Nash, No doubt he is a great leader. But when we get into loosing streaks, and we will, let's see if he can help contain the egos of dwight and kobe. That remains to be seen.

Wow :goodpost::goodpost::goodpost:

After watching the gold medal game, it shows how good Pau still is. I hope he gets more opportunities playing in his natural spot...the low block. He is just amazing in the post...so many moves and excellent touch. People who say he is washed up should have watched that game.

I'm so sick of hearing everybody say, "best roster in the NBA on paper."

They said the same thing about the Miami Heat with the "Big 3." They reached the Finals their first go round.

Lakers are going to give everybody a run for their money this season and if Howard signs his max contract with them, for even longer.

Age is also not a good argument. OKC was much younger than the Heat but how did that work out for them?

GO LAKERS!!
