^Have you received your Keaton batman yet? Maybe you should see how you like him before you pull the trigger on the '66 West.

I have both the '66 and '89 NECA batmen, and had to heavily mod both before I was happy with them ('89 - Removed the cowl and did a full face/head repaint, repainted gauntlets/gloves/boots with matte finish, ordered/waiting for Tony Meis cape, '66 - Reshaped the jawline and smoothed out imperfections in the face sculpt, full face repaint, custom two layer spandex suit to conceal all joints, new custom bat symbol). But now that they're modded, I couldn't be happier with them. They look awesome next to my 1/4 HT and EB batman figures and compliment my batman collection very well. Knowing you, I think you'll probably end up doing the same. If you're thinking about modding them, then go ahead and get both because they are definitely awesome figures with A LOT of potential. And with your modding capabilities, you should be able to make both of them shine in no time.

Funny enough, with mass produced figures of this kind, I'm less inclined to do any moding. We'll see how I feel when I have the '89 in-hand.

Just got my packages from Entertainment Earth.

I really liked the batman and the Iron Man head knocker

I do not think mine has crossed eyes

The figure is amazing for this price range. No pain smudges, nothing. Mine came really nice.

Nah, he's talking about the white painted dots on the eyes that are meant to represent reflections in the paint.

Got mine today.

The circumference of the thighs (each one) is roughly the same as the circumference of the chest...

When I see your sig, I can't help but feel that this figure should have come with the Steel Gauntlet. It'd make more sense than that stupid Cathedral grapple. Would have been the perfect accessory to snap onto his arm and big enough to have the hook cables.

The Batarang, grapple gun and wing span accessories are cool and functional but I left that big grapple hook in the box.

My replacement arrives this Wednesday.

Then in a few weeks my Tony cape for the Neca and HT arrives (Final version).

Wife shakes head, continues with her agenda.

No serious futzing yet, and I don't know where I'm gonna display him, but I'm beginning to like him.

Sorry, no comparison to the Hot Toys figure though.

Got my Keaton Bats from Entertainment Earth today, he looks great. His eyes are a bit crooked (all of them seem to be to some degree), but all in all I'm satisfied. For $55, I can't complain.

Also, his belt seems to be misaligned....I tried moving it, but I guess it doesn't move? Can anyone confirm? I don't wanna force/break something that's not supposed to move.

The belt on all three of mine are a separate piece. You can't remove it but it should be able to have some wiggle room to move it up or down his waist area.

Sorry, no comparison to the Hot Toys figure though.

The Hot Toys seems a little weirder now having both of them in hand though. The Hot Toys is clearly better from a quality and paint applications stand point, but that rubber suit, I dunno. Now it looks way too fat looking to me, especially the torso, biceps and thighs. I think the armor and proportions on the NECA, save maybe them birthin' hips are way more accurate. The chest armor is less soft looking and closer to the source, as do the sharply sculpted boots. It actually looks like he's wearing segmented armor instead of this big, one piece rubber suit. I prefer the shape of the ears and head on the Hot Toys, but then again it still looks way too idealized. Those scallops and the chest symbol itself seem thicker and more toy like than the thinner material used on the NECA. Then there's that damn PERS panel that makes it seem like he's a robot.

Still, atleast I can actually handle the Hot Toys one without fear of breaking it. The NECA one is scary to handle, especially around the torso and hips.

Also, I don't know if you want to try this Maglor, or if it even bothers you but I modded the NECA figure a bit to have a fuller neck. I don't really like how the ears protrude through the cowl or how there's a noticeable difference between the head and the neck within the cowl. I decided to pop the head off, heat it up a bit and bulk the neck up with some cotton *****. Looks a lot better.

The knees on mine do the same thing. The rubber is nice and all, but they really should have made it similar to their latest Batman suits. It could have been more like a type of wet suit with segmented armor over top of it. Maybe the same pliable plastic NECA used for their ab torso armor. The construction of their DX 12 suit is fantastic, they could have definitely done that with their Keaton Batman instead of the puffy rubber suit.
