NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

Yeah, when I first read DiFabio's comparison notes a few pages back it made me want to get the second batch. Now your pictures didn't help change my mind, jye4ever

Not sure if this batch is already available here though.

I also hope NECA formally announces a 1/4 Keaton Returns already.

Glad you're happy Jye, thanks for trusting me. I knew you weren't too impressed with the original one you had in 2013, so I figured you'd dig this one more. Yeah, isn't the cowl even better now? Same with the eyes and feet articulation.

He looks fantastic pics. You should do a new turntable video with this new one. Maybe pose him in different positions (aiming up with the grapple gun, cape over the shoulders, throwing batarang, etc.) You take really nice photos.

Wow the 1st release has been out for that long, sheesh time flys.

Yup yup, will video him up this weekend, I'm picking up a new turntable just for him lol.

Can't wait to slap on his accessories.

Man the face is so much better now.

I just finished blow drying his cowl scallops soft and pushed them up against his shoulder to be flush, looks much better already.

They always come a little rigid out of the box.

although this is a very nice looking figure .
There's something about the mouth and face area that I don't like . I don't think it really resembles Michael Keaton .

I agree, the whole head is off.
The ears are too long,the mask is off, the muthplate is off/also does not look like Keaton, the eyes are bizarre.
It's awful!
I don't understand why anyone would like this, maybe they've been looking at this more than the movie & it makes sense to them
But to me it's atrocious

I love it. It's more accurate to me than the Hot Toys, especially considering there's a whole head underneath the cowl and not faceplates. The profile in particular is gorgeous. Straight out of the Axis Chemicals scene when he throws the smoke pellet to the floor.

All I did to fix that was heat up his cowl scallops and they sit mostly flush on his shoulders now, just make sure his head is pushed all the way down.

NECA's BvS Batman is the one with the real floating cowl problem.

For me not everything is about having an exact likeness.

I also look to see if it catches the soul of the character and how they were presented in the movie.

I look at this picture and I immediately feel the essence of the movie, a new dark Batman had arrived to show the world that the 66 TV show was no more.

I see the longer ears as an extension of his shadow.

I look at this and I see bad ***, not atrocious.

Maybe you've gotten this before, but you should change your name to crazy, lol.

NECA nailed the likeness and the details of the entire suit head to toe. They absolutely TRASHED Hot toys in nearly every way except the mouth area.

Hot toys should really attempt the 89 again. Maybe they'd finally get it right. Their 89 is as bad as their first attempt at RoboCop to me, haha. It's embarrassing.
