Nice, it's a shame the Hot Toys one didn't have that, it would have been better than a removalbe med kit as the canon gets in the way of really cool head poses, especially maskless.

the netting looks more accurate on the legs now,but still not on the chest, it mite be streched more on the legs,thus looks more diamond shaped.

For me its close enough...I have the 1/4 maquette, if I want the utmost accuracy I look at that...haha.

this one has much more accurate armor and shoulder cannon. i don't see anything wrong with the face either. all i'd really add to this is some face quills or make the bio sights light up.

These figs are great...I'm getting all three, but there are 3 Pred collectables that will not be surpassed...the 1:1 P1 bust, the SS maquette, and the Cinemaquette, end of story. Cant wait for these NECA figs to arrive!

Wow. Sick, I don't know which one to get now. I thought for sure the open mouth wouldn't look good since the inner mouth seemed like it would be the most difficult part to paint properly.

Dare I say it looks like a real high-end piece in that shot? I kinda do!
Well I have the alien here now awaiting this big mofo. The alien is nothing short of jawdropping - damn, selektiv might have a point about this scale - really impressive. I got Robocop and the endoskeleton in 18" a few years ago but their paintwork isn't great, particularly the endo, so its not a scale I got into before. But the alien is just amazing, a few little paint glitches notwithstanding.
I'll definitely be paying customs on the 3 predators though. The shipping box is going to be massive going on the box just 1 alien came in - and that figure arrives partially disassembled! In fact I was considering cancelling the open-mouthed Predator because of this but that new shot has quickly made me put such thoughts to bed.
Gawdammit am I gonna have to buy 3 different city hunters too?

Not to start a pissing contest, but it looks as good as the Cinemaquette to me and you can choose how to pose this. I hope this is the start of something, imagine an 18" Aliens Warrior or light up Bioshock Big Daddy.

Saw the latest picture... damn. I don't want to let myself believe this is a true final paint app like they say, but it sure as hell is hard not to get pumped! Beautiful shot.
Oh, an um... so glad I ordered all three. Looks almost just like the movie, save for the armor color. But that's cool. For $80, I haven't seen anything near close. McFarlane is kicking himself right now.

I agree, but in fairness if i had spent that much money one of those high end maquette's i would find it hard to say a figure for $80ish is better then it ..even if it's the truth.

Of course, I know a guy who insisted the Indiana Jones Cinamacrap was better then Sideshow's simply because he "payed $2000" and Sideshow's was only $300. Luckily I'm not mentally challenged.

Keep all the heads, dump two of the bodies. I even found some interest on THL already. Even if I have to sell the decapitated bods at half price, it's worth it to have all the display options without the extra space being taken up.

I'm pretty sure the Neca figure will my personal favorite Predator toy/statue/etc. I'm not a big fan of the SS 1:1 Pred, if somebody (grrrr) hadn't thrown the box away, I'd sell mine on ebay. I'm really tempted to do a complete repaint.

So do I. I can't imagine the 8" version will do a very good job of the P2s intricate skin patterns and colouration. He kinda demands a 19" to be done right I think.
About you guys who are planning to keep the 2 heads as alternates and sell the extra bodies - OK but - who will buy a 19" headless predator? I can only imagine a customiser, someone who wants to experiment?
