Well, let me know when NECA can produce one decently painted action figure, that doesnt look like it was painted by a mentally challanged child. Then you can say they're better then Hot Toys.

They CAN though.. They just don't. If they really got their ____ together they could destroy HT.

I was thinking that too while watching the video. NECA could so destroy HT if they wanted to.. Atleast with Predators.

At the moment, sculpt wise they are superior. It's the other places that let them down.

I still think neca should do at least ONE 1/6th predator, just to prove that they can actually pull it off... just one!

Yeah I agree. As much as the 1/4 looks fantastic, 1/6 is better for space and displaying. The 2 up Predator from last year looked great.

With Aliens, too. Screw rubber bodies, I'm fine with showy joints if the sculpts are ace and they gave them the same poseability as the Preds.

The new P2 will have the best articulation on a NECA Predator yet so I'm sure the future looks good for Predator poseability.


I do hope that NECA continues to make 1/4 Predators though. A P2 and Elder would be great with the P1.

as far as i can tell, everybody is still selling these. and even if this run sells out, NECA will make more. NECA isn't Hot Toys, procrastinate away. and you might as well get all 3. they're dirt cheap and you'll never be satisfied with just one look.

NECA said they are making more than the 15,000? Or, are you talking about some other figure?

Until companies start competing against each other is there really any point in debating who's best.

If both companies make 1/6 figures and sell their figures to the same market and price range then we can start.

Its the approach of each company that has the comparisons constantly coming up. NECA is a little more obsessive about accuracy and correct proportions because it happens to have Tankman on the case. NECA fans value this and champion it moreso than they would the case for superior quality that you get with Hot Toys.

Good point.

I think people just want a company that has both. That passion for accuracy and the ability to deliver in production.

Yes ideally we'd be able to have both. We need Tankman working for Hot Toys is what. Although it'd be kinda pointless now since HT have already done their versions of the classic Predators and Terminators.

It's simple. Play the lottery. Win big! Start a new figure company. Hire tankman and drop him in the Hot Toys factory

Enjoyed that video but the cameraman was in high gear, cruising quickly through all the shelves.

Looks like NECA had a great showing. A lot of their projects on display.

Any recommendations for a reliable site? My usual stores (BBTS, TFAW, EE, AE) dont have these.

Well its the only way we'll have a chance of seeing what is clearly a stunning sculpt hitting its full potential. The complex skin colouration of the P2 is not going to translate well to a mass produced 8" figure.
