I'd agree. For all the bragging about being the most accurate predators, something as basic as the netting shouldn't have been overlooked.

I didn't sense an attack in his statements. He's just pointing out an aspect of the figure that's unexplainable. Quite frankly, I feel the same way. Was there a reason NECA went to great lengths to produce a figure like this only to miss something that seems simple...like the shape of the netting? Was there any legal issues stipulating that they could not use diamond shaped netting?

Like he says, it doesn't make sense.

I know it's still early, but nowhere do I see an indication that this is being limited to 5,000 pieces. If NECA really meant this, one would think it would be important enough to make it on the final packaging. We'll see.

Towards the top and bottom edge of the packaging, there's this grayish-silver squiggly pattern. Anyone know what that's suppose to be?

I'm guessing it's supposed to be the cloaking effect, which looks like crap against a dark, solid background.

I think random patterning to mirror the patterns in the interior of the ship in P2.

Looks to me like the same damascus steel style pattern they used on the Super Predators packaging. Which in turn came from the raised pattern on the totem and cages from the movie. No clue why they'd use it on the P1 predator packaging, maybe just to tie all the predator releases together?

Yep, it's the Predator totem pattern for sure. Come on, people. We've been over this ! Your lack of geeksmanship is... well, gosh darn it, it's gotta stop!

Me likey the box. I'll open mine anyways, but it's cool. Has that nice thermal retro feel to it, without being too different from the normal 7" packaging (because a segue to inferior 7" figure ads at the lower-back of the box is a must )

That was the very first thing that came to mind. The totem. But I wanted to ask others here to find out first if I was the only one that saw this. Apparently not.

That's an embarrassing overlook if this is true.

C'mon Blade, you gotta admit...that's kind of weak. But I am geeked-out for this figure, no doubt.

Another thing...and again, I know this is still preliminary, but the box shows the biomask with the large visor. Tankman said this was fixed. We'll find out soon enough.

You'll love it too. I came back home to OK and Randy let me bring one home with me and it's freaking great. I fixed the mask by resetting the top part down into the lower part. After all these years it feels great to know this guy is being made. I feel greedy now because I want P2 and the Elder made big like this. The P2 sculpt turned out so good that I feel only doing it 8 inches would suck but at least the lost tribe will follow. Way so cool indeed. I can't wait to see you do you're thing on one with the paint. The net might be a problem though. Getting it to come off I mean.
