Maybe someone can clarify this:

Am I correct in thinking that the Hot Toys Lost Predator was an amalgamation of several "Los Predators"

The Helmet of the Boar, the staff of the hippie, the armour of the "Borg" one or whatever it's called...

The Gort / Hot Toys Guardian predator was never shown without a mask, but I guess it is assumed that the p1 head was used since it was intended for that initially...

obviously in the movie they were either masked or unmasked and the Hot Toys versions have both the face and masks (not just scene accurate like the "Predators" figures)

Yes, the HT Lost figure was made up of several different Preds from the movie.

Got to agree with sabres on this.Deep down inside i didnt want this piece and kind of wanted it to fail.I love my hot toy figures and dont want to feel like im missing out due to cash and if given a good reason i would save my money for another hot toy predator, but any issues with this sculpt or netting ect ect is still not making the price or a good reason to not love these predators.
I do have too much stuff and down sized to only 1/6,but hot damn i must own this piece.

That's pretty ____ty. I'm more of a high-end collector but don't mind picking up the occasional toy if it looks decent. For me it's all about that final representation. I passed on the Predators figures because the paint was atrocious. With this, I can live with the crappy-looking netting if the paints turn out fine. It'd be nice to have a semi poseable 1:4 Pred in my collection. However, if the paints don't meet my expectations, then this will be just as easy a pass as the other NECA preds.

agreed. but i think most people would have to build an extension onto their houses to display 10 quarter-scale preds. i'd prefer 1/6 scale myself, but beggars can't be choosers.

A 1/4 diorama with all the Lost Preds

Something similar to the scene in the AvP: Prey comic when Dachande's clan that is being lead by Tichinde (I think it's Tichinde, haven't read it in over 3 years..) is standing around a pile of burning bodies'n shizzle.
I'd probably just make it a big pile of skulls with some trees/bushes in the background... Ooo and the roll-out grass/moss/rainforest floor stuff you can buy at Petco. I'd take pieces of different things to make spear-like weapons which I would glue to the moss/grass/rainforest flooring with bloody skulls or heads on them..

Damnit, i've planned it all out and I no we won't get them in that scale.
