So any updates on when this might actually hit stores/retailers? 1st QTR is over in a couple of weeks, or did this get bumped to Q2/Q3?

I thought it was May, but someone told me they emailed CSC and they said something like, they might get them by april maybe? late april but who knows...

that was painted by the old factory, by the way. what we get from the new one will look at least as good if not better.

I agree with EP2. These angles are much more flattering. They highlight the Elder's mature trademark mandibles...which the stock photo fails to do.

The "stock photo" is the 2-Up, the one in those 3 pics is the little one (7"!?). So it's not necessarily that the pics are better, it's also because it's a different figure.

yep, it's the 7" factory test shot. the sculpted netting makes the midsection look much more proportional. i think the only things missing are the laser sights on the cannon and the straps on the gauntlet. neither would be noticeable at that scale anyway. it would be nice to get Elder in larger scale but i'm not holding my breath.

It would be great. I'm guessing that if NECA did decide to do another 1/4 Predator, Elder would be the next one to get made.

They could very well choose between their 2-ups of either the Elder or P2.

the P2 would be the obvious choice for the next quarter-scale pred. then again, the Elder would be a little easier to make since they already have the tooled-up P1 body for it and it would just need the head, hands and accessories.

P2 would be great in 1/4. I'm just basing it off the fact that the 7" Elder is due out next and the 7" P2 is still months off..

heh, yeah kyle said someone took the figure off his desk and put it on that display without bringing the cannon and skull bandoleer. also looks like the collar wasn't painted yet. one of the many dangers of toy fare.

The official release date for this has always been April 2011, but since we know NECA, everyone's banking on May. Just like you could barely find the Series 1 7" figures last July, but they showed up in most places by the end of August.

It says "MAAAAYYYY 2011" on the little black nameplate thingys in the pics of the 1:4 scale Preds takin at the.. What was it? Toyfair? Somthing..
Same time they showed off the 1:6 P2.

Just felt I had to post something: I am SO psyched for this figure, probably more so than I've been for a collectible in a long time; HT figs from 'Predators' are great and the HT T1 T-800 is incredible, but damn... this is the badass that started it all, and he's big, and he's accurate, and he'll be here in two months!

Have you ordered the set of three, yet? HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING IT. Buying multiple 7" figures is one thing, but this is a landmark release for NECA. Hell, for Predator figures in general.

Must I break out the Arnold to convince you?
