What would be really cool is if the Predator's wrist blades would retract out real quick like in the movie.

Anyone know if the blades on the figure are fast retracted, or do you have to manually push them out? This would be a question to ask Neca on Twitter!

I can remember my mom taking us to Hollywood Video to rent movies, and there being a beta section. and no I don't feel old, I'm only 35.

After getting mine, I think I'm going to take it in to a taxidermy place and see what I can do to get a Forrest/jungle base for it.

I dunno. Id have to look into it. But I plan on having him displayed with my PFs so hed look out of place without a base

Yeah, I remember the betamax section at Blockbuster back in the day. It took up about 1/4 of 1 isle.

I had Predator recorded on VHS about 10 times.

I remember in the '90s they would show this on the regular broadcast channels here. The commercials would always be at the same points.

The one I remember the most...right when P1 picks up the dead scorpion that Mac kills with his blade, you hear him playing back his voice, "Anytime....." ----> break to commercial.

I would guess you have to do it manually, I don't really see them doing that, they would have mention it before, like they mention the netting,

I was just Over at BBTS and they were all available,
it looks like it keeps doing that, I really want my predators to be here, I hope they come soon


I was Also wondering, How would the mandibles be glued, what i mean is, could someone take the open mouth predator and make it into a closed mouth predator if they wanted? is anyone doing that?

if someone could pull that off, there wouldn't be a need to buy all 3, I was just talking to a friend today and he was asking me that, it made me wonder about it, I mean, that's why I ask, about the mandibles, could a customizer pull it off, have it both open/close mouth?

I always used to watch Predator with my Dad when I was a child

I was in I think 5th grade when this hit theaters, and my brother saw it and said it wasn't all that good, so I ended having to wait to rent it on VHS to watch it. When I saw the local grocery store had it at their little video rental section, I waited all day for it to be returned to rent it. It took about 3 days at 6 hours a day to get it. Needless to say, it's one of my all-time favorites and was worth the wait. Even after a tour in the Army over here in the States, and learning the movies military/tactical accuracy was waaaaaayyyyyy off, I still wouldn't want anything changed about it.

James Cameron and Stan Winston were at their prime around that time, with Predator, Aliens, T2, no amount of CGI or $$$$budget can ever duplicate what they had. The unmasking of the Predator, and finally seeing the Alien Queen for the first time, are two of the GREATEST moments in motion picture history.

The motion picture industry wants computer whizzes for their visual effects, and the talent of the FX artist is declining, so the masters like Savini and such can't get the budgets to do what they used to, and with the unmatchable skill Winston had being forever lost, we'll never have memorable films like this again. And Cameron got Oscar fever, so he's more concerned with what critics think, and got away from his roots, IMO.

I can watch these movies from the '80s- early '90s over and over again (P1, T1-T2, Aliens, Friday the 13th 1-8, A Nightmare on Elm Street 1-4) because that was cinema at it's best, and we will never see that caliber of sci-fi/horror again.

Truly great cinema. Too bad I was too young to ever see these films at the cinema. I suppose growing up with them tho is what made me love them so much.

I think all three heads are all different sculpts.

Good question. Are the heads all individual sculpts or are they like the smaller figures with the 'not so good' mandible seam line?

I could be wrong, but by the way it looks to me is they are all separate sculpts.
