I guess the guys here who said anyone who wants the predator and lost the chance to preorder it could get it eventually were right

I just made my preorder with ToysRus it was 149, so that was pretty cool, If I order the 3 preds from bbts it would have been 220, like 70 more, I guess I'll have to wait until June while others will get them first lol,

yeah I know, It would be like 45- 50 more with shipping, for the third predator technically, I had the three preorder but I canceled, I only want two, I mean, I could try to get the third but, I think two is enough,
that's why I was asking earlier about if the open mouth could be turned into a closed mouth,
I could get the third one and sell it but, I don't know...
And seeing how toysRus will be even cheaper, I think I'll get them from there,

I kind of wonder about the toysRus Pay later thing they have...

Well, I do plan on making a youtube tutorial on how to articulate the mandibles. I will have two in the box and use, maybe the opened mouth to add some revoltech style joints, or maybe some ball joints..

What are the speciality shops?

Meaning, the stores that sell collectibles, figures, rare/expensive toys. Some of these specialty shops just also happen to sell comics as well.

Many of these places I'm sure you've visited already (Cornerstorecomics, toys2, alteregocomics, bbts, vikingplayground, toyanxiety, etc.).

Well, I do plan on making a youtube tutorial on how to articulate the mandibles. I will have two in the box and use, maybe the opened mouth to add some revoltech style joints, or maybe some ball joints..

That would be very cool if you figure out how to do that cost effectively.

Didn't think I'd do it, but I broke down and POed the unmasked-closed mouth. This guy is just looking too good sculpt wise. We'll see about the paint, but that's at least an easier fix than a screwed up sculpt.

Don't know what they said or didn't say but if they said something insulting about HT, my opinion it makes them looks like a bunch of turds.

IT does make them seem like dicks for doing it but... HT didn't put the effort into their predator these guys have, maybe they think it's bragging rights or something.

Its unfortunate, it probably riles up and encourages people like Selektiv and it ultimately contributes to NECA being seen as a laughing stock by highend collectors.

Oh please, it's not that big of a deal. They're not a bunch of meanies because they brag about their sculpt being better than HTs'.

I'm not saying they're meanies, just pointing out the observable effect the NECA-shipping (at the expense of HT) has around here. Exclusively high-end collectors look at the NECA threads to have a laugh. People like Selektiv have turned NECA fans into a joke in the eyes of other collectors. And NECA themselves making frequent mention of HT feeds this cycle.

NECA clearly don't have the balls to take on HT in the 1/6 market, so they start chiming in with this "bigger is always better" bull$#!t. even if their sculpt is better than anything HT can do, NECA has no intent to compete with them, so why do they keep bringing it up? it's not gonna convince any hardcore 1/6 collectors to start buying NECA's 1/4 scale shelf warmers.

I agree with this. I used to be a hard core NECA fan, and really loved the 18" figures they did. It wasnt until Hot Toys revealed their 1:6 scale P1 that I jumped on board with 1:6 scale collecting and I havent looked back since. I hardly ever buy 7" or 18" scale figures anymore, especially from NECA. But this 1:4 scale Predator has brought me back to that scale of collecting. Ill proudly display both the HT P1 and the NECA P1. I couldnt care less which one is "better" than the other, since I will have both.

Let's just hope that this guy turns out good...

It's deffo the best Predator sculpt to date, whether it's the best figure overall remains to be seen.
