I ordered the Masked Pred from FP & he got sent yesterday, so hopefully your ones should be sent out any day now

Glad to hear it guys, ive just emailed FB as well asking them when this is likely to be dispatched, so might even get the dispatch email before i get the reply email lol

I just went & bought another one of Play.com, there selling them for £65 delivered, £10 cheaper than FP but the only problem with them though is that it's a lottery of which one you'll receive because for some wierd reason they don't allow you to choose which one you want? But as long as it's not the Masked Pred which I all ready have I'll be happy, if it is I'll let a fellow Freak buy it for what I payed.

Yeah, tell me about it, i was annoyed enough when they dispatched my predator and it was then dropped in price by a tenner, couldn't even get the difference back, i've been sent a closed mouth pred which i've already ordered from FB so sending it back to see if i can get the open mouth predator

I got an order confirmation on my order, finally. Their estimated availability for these in-stock for on-line orders was June 3rd, so hopefully they get the ball rolling here soon.

No Pred is complete with out a human trophy. Just primered it to see where I need to sand. Almost ready to cast. In the pic it looks larger then the Endo but its not.

Finally got mine in, and I am honored to have such an AWESOME pred Figure (thank you Tankman! )

All I did was narrow the visor gap, remove the seam, and put in some lenses (pic in mod thread)

Still waiting on mine, probably towards the end of next week.

However I feel like commenting anyway...good as this figure is, it really only has 2 poses, standing up straight or the roar pose and thats it. Now I already knew the posing was limited from the 8" figure but quite likely I'll get mine, photograph them once, maybe again when I can display my entire collection properly one day - but thats it. Photos of this guy from all the different owners so far are very samey. And thats the figure's fault not people's photography skills. It simply cannot take on much of any interesting poses. And honestly I'm finding this thread pretty boring because of that. Maybe that'll change when I actually get mine.

So anyway because of the poseability and because I don't think its as 'off' as some here would have people believe I will always keep and enjoy the HT one. I'll get me a Baloo mask and be totally happy having a 1/6 superposeable predator and the 19" ones with the more accurate sculpts. The best of all worlds even if not all combined into one single piece.

Also...you keep saying the P2 has to be big, or the paint will suck....well...the McF paint job on the head was pretty damn amazing....

You must be kidding right? One of our guys did the head sculpt on that piece of you know what and we give that guy the what were you thinking treatment. You know what he said about it? He said he was drunk through most of that project. I think the paint sucks but the sculpt is something all of us McFarlane vets laugh about. That piece was really poorly art directed. All I'm saying is now you'll get a dead on sculpt but it will be hard to get the paint on the head to look great. Look at the way HT handled P2 for example on the head painting that is. McFarlane needs to stay with sports and video game scanned figures because that stuff looks nice. Alien and Predator they never used the best talent on those things and it's nice to go back and fix their mess. They never cared about accurate sculpts and had a who cares attitude.

I think what Celtic means about the paint on the McFarlane, and if so I agree with him, is that its a really good clean paintjob. Perhaps not accurate but clean and consistent across all the figures. Thats where NECA fails.
