Oleg Taktarov and Danny Trejo.

Taktarov is the only proven tough-guy in the film (due to his time as an MMA fighter), but Trejo just has the ultimate "tough" look.

Honestly, I think it's awesome that the Predator franchise took a serious step forward by getting an Academy Award winning actor to play the lead role, and I think Brody pulled it off well. I admit, seeing him cast worried me at first, but I was rather impressed by his unshaken, macho portrayal as Royce.

The only character that still ticks me off about that film is Topher Grace's! The Preds are supposed to select dangerous game that proposes a challenging hunt. And I'm sick of the excuses of they planted him in that group to create turmoil or what-not. The fact is, why select a cowardice human "predator" that might sneak one of their kills from them, and poses absolutely zero challenge in a hunt, over another soldier, mercenary, organized crime enforcer or something of the such?? Just a terrible ploy by the writers/producers to have that film take a step out of the Predator norm, IMO.

I don't care if he really is or isn't a badass in real life as long as he can persuade me he is through his acting - which Brody succeeded in doing IMO.

Danny Trejo Biography :
"A child drug addict and criminal, Danny Trejo was in and out of jail for 11 years. While serving time in San Quentin, he won the lightweight and welterweight boxing titles. Imprisoned for armed robbery and drug offenses, he successfully completed a 12-step rehabilitation program that changed his life"

but those are all rules you made up. and by your standards, Stans didn't belong either since he was basically the same thing as Edwin, only dumber. in fact, most of them didn't present much of a threat to preds. which is why Cuchillo and Mombasa got killed off early. Edwin lasted nearly the entire movie because he could trick everybody else into protecting him.

I think there's a group of fans that would rather have The Rock and Steve Austin chokeslam the Predator to death.
this. thank you.

That could be cool, it could be green-colored oats with little rainbow-colored marshmallows in the shape of plasma casters, spinal columns with skulls, wrist blades and bio helmets...yummy!
