Super Freak
It's like someone took the Sideshow 1/4 maquette, sharpened the sculpt details, and added articulation. Sigh...
There'a a big hole in the market for something like this.

I actually think NECA is doing a great job filling that hole. Maybe they're not making enough of them fast enough, but considering we're getting these at all is impressive to me.
I used to collect more 18" figures, but got out of them due to size restrictions years ago. The P2 City Hunter 1/4 Scale is the first 1/4 scale figure I've purchased in over 5 years...and I'm very glad I did too - it looks truly outstanding.
Now if I can just figure out how to give the figure's skin and armor a slightly wet sheen to make it a bit more screen accurate....
Hoping P2 turns up soon.
Wait, they're scheduled for release in October? The 1/4 P2s?
God I am so far behind.
Give it a quick spray over with some Krylon semi-gloss spray.
If you want it to look a bit more wet, then go with the gloss.
Just do it sparingly.
It'll give you that look you're wanting.
Thanks, appreciate the heads up - I'll give that a try - do you suggest masking the armor and parts, or do you think it matters?
And the City Hunter 1/4 Scale is actually the first figure this year that's got me *really* excited.
The other two I'm waiting on - Sideshow's StarCraft II Tychus 1/6th scale and Play Arts Kai Raiden: Revengence aren't out until 2013, so I've got some time...
I took a plunge and Ordered a 1:4 Gort the other day (though its only been shipped today). I quite fancy a play with it. Though i am not happy with the paintwork on the biomask so i might take it off and repaint it (and possibly add a real set of visors). Ill see how it looks in hand
I've also got a HT new goblin diorama base ready to see if i can use it to hold the figure up.
Nah, an ebay member in Germany had it for sale for £46. Though i live in the UK it was still the cheapest price by far to get it to me. I think it looks awesome in some pics (like yours) and in others the mask looks a bit like a dull yellow. So i want to have it in hand. If im unhappy ill add some more silver to the mask & a bit of an oily look with dark patches. Maybe a visor. Im hoping ill be happy enough when it arrives as-isdid you get yours from BBTS?
