I just hope that NECA change their minds about making it have the same articulation as P1 1/4, as previously announced.

I had not heard that. Wow...that's pretty disappointing. I just automatically thought that the figure would have the new articulation like the rest of 1/4th Losties.

I have not bought the 7'' Elder strictly because of the horrible leg articulation, and the fact that it is a simple repaint/retool of P1. It looks like I'll skip the 1/4th too, as much as it pains me. If there is one thing I hate...it's those $%^&ing cut-joint thighs.

Looks like I'm waiting and praying for HT to do a P2 Elder one day, unless Neca wises up.

I thought they were reissuing P1 with updated hip articulation in the 7'' scale. Why not fix it in 1/4th as well? I can dream I guess.

I think they criss-crossed the figures' accessories with waves 1 and 2. Best of luck looking for one!

Okay, I just set up the masked P1 I bought last night, and BUMMER -- I think there's an important part from the backpack missing: the part where the arm of the shoulder cannon goes into.

From the pictures I never thought that it could get off of the backpack. My figure's facory sealed, and I looked all over, from the box to every part of my room, and it's not there.

I don't think I could have it replaced as I was lucky enough to get the last P1 piece among a lot of P2s.

I ended up improvising, cutting a part of the cannon arm and supergluing it on to the backpack. The cannon can't retract and is closer to the dreads but better than not having it there at all.

Will post pics when I can.

Edit: I think my visor seems to have little gap compared to what I've seen on the pictures (including the ones on the box) though. Having no time/resources to do lens mod I thought of applying a coat of clear nail polish on it, and now it's glossy enough to my liking

Yeah, I've just never seen the appeal of Big Red. Easy pass, another Lostie surely would have been a better choice.

I'm down for big Red and get why they're doing him since he's basically just a few tweaks on the P1.

He'll make a nice contrast on the shelf next to the others IMO

Big Red is simple for them to make...that's why. A new Lostie (of the remaining ones) requires more tooling than Big Red.

And NECA has had great success with him so it's only logical they make him.

And as for the Elder having the old articulation, I don't really mind it. All he does is stand straight up in the movie anyway so for for movie likeness it's fine. That's how I would pose him anyway.

I'm just happy they ARE making him in the first place. He's my grail piece.
