Hey guys, how can you make these heavy figures stand without the risk of falling over? Do you always leave them in neutral leg stance just to be safe? Thanks!

I made a base and popped some nails/screws throough and put the hole on the bottome of Pred feet over them.

Thanks to Reefer Shark I found a good inexpensive base at Walmart. It's a Candle holder (bowl) that if you filp over it becomes a good black stand.

Looks great Jaws! And the screws at the bottom make sense :) I saw the holes on the feet of my NECA Pred.

Yeah. It's the best thing to do. I was funny. I had it up without the screws for a day or two. Then I decided to put them it. That same night my two dogs bumped hard into the shelf/stand he was on. But Predator stayed his ground!

BTW let me just say again what an awesome piece this is. It really is amazing. I have not been able to take my eyes off it since it has arrived and I keep saying that I can't believe it is a Neca toy and not a high end piece. Fantasic work by Tankman and all others involved.

I am going to have to do a review for my blog here at the forum after I get my masked version and some of the skulls I have on order so I can get my base set up like I want. Man I love this thing. Never thought in a million years I would by a neca toy again that was not for one of my kids.

Whoa! That tells me how much of a great job you've done with the stand! :clap

I can't agree more, mate. I don't know what took me long to grab one of these figures. My mom can't believe that it's just about half the price of most of my HTs at half more the size. And she says it has an awesome presence that can't be left behind by the more expensive pieces on the shelf. I can't wait to go back to the store and get more. I'm on the lookout for the 18" NECA Alien as well. I might need more room!

Looking forward to your review, bud!:wave

Both of my Pred and Alien took a dive after a while. Too heavy of a figure. Board member Bo Shrek pointed me to the solution:

Stands at Michaels. I think they cost $4 plus tax. Much cheaper with the 40% of coupon. Problem solved.

Exactly what I got, didn't want to take a chance in case the Pred wanted to take a "shelf dive"

Thanks guys for the replies!

I'd love to have those stands. Are there any Michael's in LA? I'll be Stateside by the end of the month for a comiccon. Would be on the lookout for them.

Is that LA for Louisiana or Los Angeles? If it's Los Angeles there are plenty of Michaels out here.

Oh, sorry. Didn't know that Louisiana is LA too. :peace

Los Angeles. And I'm happy to hear that! This will be on my list of what to look for when I get to LA, along with aerospace protectant.

Thanks, buddy! :hi5:

anyone got a link to these stands

Information for the stand:

Fibre Craft Doll Stand 9.5 in (24.1 cm) model.

Here is a link to buying them, given Michael's don't have it on their site:

https://www.dollardays.com/1/1/57637-fibre-craft-wholesale-doll-stand-9-5.html

Since you are in the UK, it looks like amazon U.K. has them:

[ame]https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fibre-Craft-Doll-Stand-9-5/dp/B004JQ0UHO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_k_h_b_cs_3/278-4730505-1344748[/ame]

I am sure you can find them pretty readliy available via internet search. Not sure how well the 7.5 in model works, but the 9.5 in model is really sturdy.

Hope that helps.

Hey quick question for the 1/4 owners. Do you have to give the big Preds a hot bath like you do the little ones to unfreeze their joints?

Holy crap. That is a very good photo, Mikass007. Checking your site now!

Thanks a lot! I'm glad to hear you like the photo and thanks for checking out my site, I appreciate it.

I haven't had to unfreeze the joints. They have a nice click movement to them, but can be a little stiff at first, However, they always wanted to move, without using a hairdryer or hot water.

I enjoyed your review in pictures, man! You actually made me go out today and score a masked P1! :) So happy that I was still able to get one! :panic:

Looking forward to more reviews from you, buddy! :wave

Awesome! I'm glad you managed to get at masked P1. It's a great figure.

Thanks and there will be plenty more down the road. I still have from Series 2 and on of the Predators to showcase, which is going to take some time, along with all my other non-predator figures. :)

Thanks again.

Great photos.:clap
