NECA 1/4 scale predator

Anyone else pre-order the new LED-City Hunter? It looks like it should be shipping out the second week of November. The LED part is neat and all, but I'm hoping the paint job will be improved. I don't know that second production runs turn out historically 'better' with NECA, but I've got my fingers crossed regardless.

I cancelled because I had too much other stuff on order and I had to use any excuse to drop it - to me that was the mask still not looking right.

I've actually since cancelled a few other things which might let this one back in given that Predator is within my focus area but I'll wait till in-hand pics start appearing and judge it then.

I have ( and absolutely love ) the original P2 and PO this LED version as well. I don't mind if it's delayed as long as they improve it and there won't be any QC issues. But yeah it's been awfully quiet about this guy so far...

Neca just founds some comic con exclusives from the warehouse and they put them up to buy. I bought the Cloaked Scar Predator since I couldn't attend Comic Con so it was a win for me. They also have 3 other old exclusives up like a cloaked berserker, albino pred and another I believe with Scar.

Hi can I check which are the 2.0 version of 1/4 predators? Or is there a list I can refer to? I'm a little confused as to which one to get.

2.0 versions have LED lights. Originals didn't. That's the only real difference.

Thanks for quick reply! Wow so there is no difference in sculpting or paint app? I'm thinking of grabbing a gort predator as I can get it for cheap for about 55usd.

There wasn't a second Gort. Only preds to get a second release were the masked Jungle and City Hunters. People have posted comparisons of the paint on the Jungle Hunters, and while there's a slight difference (original has slightly better paint application), the difference is negligible.

I didn't buy the LED one but how typical that it would add the new features and - presumably - correct the visor gap problem and the seam in the middle of the forehead (?) but have an inferior paintjob. A few steps forward but not without taking one step back.

When is the LED City Hunter coming out? Seems like the delays keep piggyback-riding eachother... Any update on how the stock mask will look? Pics, anyone? I'm looking at you, Internet.
